Moms2B Avoid Fluoride

Moms2B Avoid Fluoride

During pregnancy Moms know to protect their babies by avoiding smoking, alcohol, medications, raw meat, and seafood (particularly high-mercury fish).

We need to add to this list:  fluoride in water, food, and drinks.

Why add fluoride to the list?

While there are 65 IQ studies reporting an association of fluoride exposure with lowered IQ, there are now 7 of these studies, known as the Mother-Offspring fluoride studies, that report a correlation between the level of fluoride in a pregnant women’s urine and lower IQ in their offspring.

The following four studies were funded by the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Science.

(1) The largest study by Green et al. (2019) with 512 mother-child pairs, was performed in Canada. Women living in areas with fluoridated tap water compared with nonfluoridated water had significantly higher mean urinary fluoride concentrations. A 1-mg/L increase in urinary fluoride levels was associated with a 4.49-point lower IQ score in boys, but there was no statistically significant association with IQ scores in girls.

(2) In another Canadian study of 398 mother-child pairs by Till et al. (2019) titled Fluoride exposure from infant formula and child IQ in a Canadian birth cohort, the authors concluded:

“After adjusting for fetal exposure, we found that fluoride exposure during infancy predicts diminished non-verbal intelligence in children. In the absence of any benefit from fluoride consumption in the first six months, it is prudent to limit fluoride exposure by using non-fluoridated water or water with lower fluoride content as a formula diluent.”

(3) In 2017, a 12-year-long study by Bashash et al. was published. It reported significant reductions in children’s IQ when their mothers were exposed to fluoride during pregnancy. In this study of Mexican mother-offspring pairs conducted by American and Canadian researchers, mothers were receiving the same fluoride doses as mothers in the U.S. who live in communities that add fluoride to their water.

(4) While not an IQ study, a 2018 study by Till et al., published a national survey of urinary fluoride levels in pregnant women across Canada. Canada and the U.S. have the same “optimum” fluoride regulation of adding .7 ppm fluoride to drinking water in fluoridation schemes. The authors noted:

“We measured fluoride levels in urine samples collected during
each trimester from 1,566 pregnant women living in fluoridated
and nonfluoridated communities in a Canadian pregnancy cohort.
We found that mean urinary fluoride values were almost two
times higher for pregnant women living in fluoridated regions
than for those in nonfluoridated regions (Table 2). The differences
in MUF [maternal urinary fluoride] concentration remained significant after adjustment for relevant covariates. Urinary fluoride levels were significantly lower among women living in nonfluoridated regions, despite the so-called diffusion or halo effect”

What should pregnant women know about these studies?

Hawaii’s Big Island Called Upon Telecom to Cease and Desist 5G Deployment

Hawaii’s Big Island Called Upon Telecom to Cease and Desist 5G Deployment

Hawaii’s Big Island Called Upon Telecom to Cease and Desist 5G Deployment

A resolution to cease the buildout of 5G wireless infrastructure until it can be proven safe, through independent research and testing, passed the Hawaii County Council on July 22, 2020, almost unanimously. The vote was 8-1.
The resolution, introduced by council member Matt Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder, came to the table after months of daily emails and phone calls from constituents regarding 5G.
“There was overwhelming public concern,” he said.
The resolution was put forth by constituents and Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder agreed to present it to the council.
In a council meeting that lasted nearly six hours, approximately 40 people waited in line to testify one-by-one in separate rooms in Hilo and Kona set-up due to COVID. Determined to have their voices heard, testifiers persevered as there is no option to testify online from home in Hawaii County, despite the recent COVID-closure of three separate testimony locations. Written testimony in support of Resolution 678-20 was overwhelming. According to the County Clerk’s Office, 650 written testimonies were submitted, almost all of which were in support of the resolution.
Council member Kanealii-Kleinfelder quoted from the Telecommunications Act of 1996, as well as Hawaii state regulations, and pointed out how both documents state that, in general, local authorities have the final say in protecting the safety of citizens with regard to telecommunications permits. He urged the Corporation Counsel to look deeper into the county jurisdiction as leverage in moving forward to protect the people.

American life has fallen casualty to a massive disinformation campaign. We can speculate on how this has happened, and why it has continued, but the purpose of the inaugural White Coat Summit is to empower Americans to stop living in fear.
If Americans continue to let so-called experts and media personalities make their decisions, the great American experiment of a Constitutional Republic with Representative Democracy, will cease.

Annual Fluoride Awareness Week Update

Annual Fluoride Awareness Week Update

Analysis by Dr. Joseph MercolaFact Checked

As every year during our annual Fluoride Awareness Week, Fluoride Action Network (FAN) founder Dr. Paul Connett is here to provide us with a progress update. FAN has been instrumental in reducing fluoride exposure in North America and in many countries throughout the world over the past 20 years.
As in previous years, we ask that you consider donating to this worthy organization that is spearheading the daunting task of eliminating water fluoridation around the world. As usual, Mercola.com will match your donation, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000 during Fluoride Awareness Week.

Fluoride Lowers Children’s IQ

From the very beginning, one of Connett’s driving concerns was the possibility that fluoride might be lowering children’s IQ.
“Two Chinese studies were published in 1995 and 1996, in English. I was very concerned, and felt strongly that if there was any evidence that fluoride lowered intelligence of children, then there's no way you would put benefits to teeth above that and continue water fluoridation,” Connett says.
Ten years later, in 2006, the National Research Council looked at the toxicology of fluoride.1 At that time, there were six IQ studies and, based on those six studies along with many animal studies, the NRC concluded that fluoride did in fact pose a threat to the brain. By 2008, there were 18 such studies.
In 2012, a distinguished team, partly from Harvard University, did a review2 of 27 IQ studies; 25 from China and two from Iran. Strikingly, 26 of the studies showed children with higher fluoride exposure had lower IQ than the children with lower fluoride exposure.
“The bombshell came in 2017. Up to that point, we had about 60 studies that had shown a lowering of IQ, most of them from China, but also some from India, some from Iran, some from Mexico,” Connett says.

US-Funded Study Confirms Decades’ Long Suspicions

The bombshell study3,4 Connett refers to, known as the “Bashash study” (named after the lead author, Morteza Bashash, Ph.D.), was funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the Environmental Protection Agency.
It followed pregnant women and their babies for 12 years. They measured the fluoride in their urine, which reveals total exposure, regardless of the source or sources, and they found a strong relationship between the fluoride level in mothers’ urine and IQ scores in their children at the ages of 4, and between 6 and 12.
It’s important to realize that it’s not the concentration of fluoride in the water (measured in mg per liter) that is significant for health. What matters is the dose you get in milligrams per day, and the dosage (mg/day divided by the individual’s body weight), and these depend on a variety of fluctuating factors.
“The NIH is a parent of the Public Health Service, so they've been promoting fluoride for years and years (since 1950). So, I believe they put a lot of money into this study thinking that it would prove, once and for all, that crazy people like me and others were absolutely wrong about the notion that fluoride lowers IQ in children.
But lo and behold, they gave us very, very strong evidence that it is. And that the most susceptible age, as far as fluoride's impact on the brain, is during fetal development.
It turns out the placenta does not protect the fetus from fluoride, and, as you know, up to about six months of age, the blood-brain barrier is not fully formed in the baby. So, the fetus is very susceptible to this impact of fluoride.”
The first response of the American Dental Association was that the findings didn’t apply to the United States, since it was done in Mexico City. However, this ignored the fact that human beings are human beings, by measuring fluoride in the urine they had a measure of total exposure, regardless of the source. It really doesn’t matter if the fluoride comes from water, other beverages, food or toothpaste.

Subject: [External]: ACTION ALERT: Please Help Advance Massachusetts EMF Bills

Please Send a Quick Email -- 5 Minutes
Help is appreciated from everyone,
not just Massachusetts stakeholders

We are very grateful that even as our legislators are working over-time to address the pandemic and racial justice, they have made it a priority to advance two of the Massachusetts EMF bills.

One bill gives the right to choose no-fee non-radiation-emitting utility meters. The other forms a commission to investigate the whole wireless radiation issue.

Our progress, in large part, is due to those who took a moment to provide testimony for the first round -- thank you!

As the bills pass from one committee to the next though, we start with a clean slate so testimony is once again required.

How to Help

Details on each bill are given below, but here's a quick way to help -- 5 minutes:

1. Start a new email with the Subject line, "In Support of S. 129 and S. 1988".

2. Copy and paste the following addresses into the To: field (note, we included MA4SafeTech@gmail.com too so we have record of what's coming in):

3. Copy/paste in the following suggested message, but by all means feel free to write your own or resend to this new group if you submitted last time:

Massachusetts is poised to join New Hampshire and Oregon as the third state to urgently pass legislation to investigate the health and environmental impact of today’s wireless technology.

Even during this pandemic, the wireless industry is relentlessly forcing toxic wireless radiation on our homes via utility "smart" meters, wi-fi systems in our schools, and 4G+/5G small cell antennas outside our homes and offices.

They are also providing toxic wireless devices to our children, with no safety instructions or adapters to hard-wire.

We cannot let industry take control from our families and municipalities any longer. Please, expedite passage of S. 129 Resolve relative to disclosure of radio frequency notifications and S. 1988 An Act relative to utilities, smart meters, and ratepayers’ rights.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

4. Sign with your full name (and any credentials you wish to include), address and phone number. These are required to enter your statement into the public record.

5. Please ask others to help too, we must use our collective voices if we expect to get to safe technology. All emails should be sent by Friday, July 17th at the latest. Thank you!

The Smart Meter Choice Bill

Feel free to learn more about this bill below, and/or copy any of this into your own statement (thank you to Helen, Patricia, Jean, Ula, Ruth and Rebecca for your expertise!):

The pandemic has reinforced the concept that medically vulnerable residents deserve, and are entitled to, protection of their health and well-being by society at large.

Decision-makers are often in the position of having to translate that expectation into guidance and specific actions, including public policy.

While the pandemic response in MA has been extraordinary, protection of medically vulnerable residents has been overlooked in the case of the very basic need to provide safe and reliable electric, gas, and water service for all. Utilities, municipalities, and the MA Department of Public Utilities (DPU) have all fallen short.

The Senate Ways and Means Committee may not be aware that a significant number of Massachusetts residents experienced adverse health effects immediately after installation of wireless utility meters on their homes.

Symptoms include headaches, sleeplessness, cognitive and memory problems, problems with balance, irregular heartbeats and intermittent tremor; these symptoms can be disabling.

Children experience problems with anxiety, insomnia, attention, memory and learning.
