250th Parade

250th Parade

What a parade! Congratulations to the 250th Anniversary Committee for a job well done. It took hours and hours of time to organize an event that size. The organization paid off with a great time had by all.

The weather was wonderful! The crowds were lining the streets. The bands and units marching in the parade were very entertaining. My personal favorite was the Ancient Mariners of Connecticut – gotta love the cannon! The Shriners were awesome! The bands were great! The floats were very imaginative.

Again, congratulations for a job well done!

  1. Happy to see four out of the five selectmen in the parade walking together. Good form! Although it would have been perfect if they had a float where they were sitting at a table with a green screen behind them and broken microphones they kept tapping to get to work. hee hee hee Also happy to see some of the candidates running for office there too. All politics aside, it was a day every citizen in Templeton should be proud of. We have a beautiful town full of amazing people and colorful characters. It was a great success and sooo needed and appreciated. Thank you to all who participated!
