How Fortuitous!

How Fortuitous!

Breaking news! I received a call from Rep. Andrews today. “The Investigation”  S623 will be heard before the Joint Committee on the Judiciary on April 24, 2014.

Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the citizens of the Town of Templeton hereby request an investigation by the Attorney General into the following incidents:

An investigation into the activities of the Municipal Building Committee to include all transactions regarding the purchase of the 252 Baldwinville Road property and the USDA loan application process.

An investigation into the procedures and activities to allow the settlement and return of a gift of $369,681.40 to Casella Waste Systems on November 13, 2008.

An investigation into the activities of the Templeton Board of Selectmen and the Templeton Municipal Light Department to enact Chapter 93 Acts of 2000.

An investigation into the activities and actions of legal counsel, Kopelman & Paige, regarding case 02-2424C heard before Judge Cornetta of Worcester Superior Court as well as the settlement of the Templeton Waste Water Treatment plant lawsuit and the Writs of Attachment.

The hearing will take place at the State House in room A2. The hearing begins at 1:30 pm.

For those of us calling for an investigation – this is it! Let's hope they take a close look at Chapter 93 Acts of 2000.

    1. Every issue that has been raised has been a factor in the failure of the Town of Templeton to thrive, and has brought our town to the point it is at right now. Money lost due to dirty dealings, with no thought to the people in this town. Loans taken out with no vote from the taxpayers in the Town of Templeton, along with money poorly invested in property that the people of this town will never be able to recover. Our town has the misfortune to be possibly the first town to be bankrupt in the history of the State of Massachusetts. Even in their worse days, the towns of Athol and Orange never hit this low. It is the time for the people in this town to step up and ask for the investigation that Pauly demanded, when he knew that things were not being done right. This is a test of our political system. Will the people in this town be the winners, or will political favoritism win the day?? We will soon find out. Bev.
