Think Globally,  Buy locally

If you travel to Rindge, NH and stop at the Hannaford grocery store, you will find some locally produced milk from the Manny Hill farm from Winchester, NH. It comes in glass quart bottles, just like the ones that were delivered to your front door in days gone by. If you like chocolate milk, try theirs. On the bottle is the message "please wash out and return for the deposit"

  1. Some of the grocery stores will buy from local growers, and that is good. I know there were more than a few growers who were hurt this summer when Market Basket shut down. They grow exclusively for this store chain, and the middle of the growing season is not the time to run into problems. The plus side is none of the people working for Market Basket will have to go through such a upheaval again, and I would imagine the growers must have worked out a deal with the good side of the family. For once, the good guys win !! Bev.
