Long Duration Winter Storm with Moderate Snow Will Impact Massachusetts Saturday Through Early Tuesday
A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued for Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Worcester Counties from 2/8 at 1am until 2/10 at 1am.
Snow will move into Western Massachusetts on Saturday, continuing through the day with total snow accumulations around 2”. More significant snow will move into Massachusetts early Sunday through early Tuesday morning with expected snow accumulations for this period being 8-16”. Early indications suggest the potential for 8-16” of snowfall across much of Southern New England, with 4-7” of snowfall along the South Coast. This snowfall amount will be spread out over 3 days. The heaviest snow threat continues to be centered from Sunday night into early Tuesday.
