At last nights meeting of the Elementary School Building Committee, it was shown that within the plan, the playground at Templeton Center may be moved to a different location on the grounds. It was also shown that within the plan is to use part of the parking are behind the police station for school parking. It was also discussed to move the new building closer to the police station lot. This is all in the planning stage and it was proposed to have a meeting with selectmen to discuss this, it was also mentioned that a vote of the BOS will be needed to proceed. Perplexing was mention of a vote of the school committee for this project to proceed and I say perplexing because as far as I know, this is a Town of Templeton project rather than a district project. This is why it is important to attend these meetings. Selectmen may obtain a color electronic copy of the plan (s) shown at this meeting. Hopefully this will be on the agenda for the next selectmen meeting.
