What is debt load of Templeton?
Looking thru the annual Templeton Town report of FY 2014, the following items were found;
Worcester regional retirement system assessment list at $453,929.24. This is a recurring expense of the Town rather than short or long term debt.
An amended motion which resulted in $1,444,046.00 to pay for Templeton long term debt (principal and interest) and an additional $431,969.00 for the Town to pay it's share of debt for Narragansett regional school ( roof repairs and the newest part of the complex) which I believe if checked on NRHS receives a reimbursement from MSBA for that debt and that is not shared with the Town.
Town meeting report for ATM 2015, long and short term debt is listed at $1,709,097.00.
More on this to follow, now I believe Taxpayers need to do some homework and find out about things such as MSBA propay, how a debt exclusion question is suppose to happen at Town Meeting and what are some of the things that MSBA does not reimburse for a school project.
You can google MSBA online as well as Massachusetts debt exclusion questions or DOR, DLS and find these questions and answers. November is fast approaching and it is time to arm yourself with information needed to make an informed decision regarding your money. Do not rely on any elected or appointed officials to do this for you.
