  1. The tax hearing is scheduled for 7:30 pm.

The tax rate may be lowered, but your tax bill will go up.

Your water bill will go up.

Your sewer bill will go up.

Your electric bill will go up.

    Death and taxes!

Please vote on December 8th. Tell your family and friends to vote as well!

  2. The one thing that will not go up if you are elderly, is your Social Security. Funny how that happens. You need to remember that your tax bill will go up 2 1/2%, with none of the regular extra things that will be added on at Town Meeting. I do believe this is a year the Assessors are due to re-evaluate properties, so as we all know, things do not go down. Do not get suckered into believing your tax rate will go down, even if the School Department says so. From their eyes it may, for a brief second, so don't miss it. Remember when the voters were told the "Town did not pay enough ?" Thank you Ms.Miller for the fact this was a down and out right false statement. It took Bernie Heaney many tries, to make this educated woman understand that, what she was telling people was in fact, not true. Where were the rest of the educated people, on the School Board, while she spewed mistruths ?? Now it is up to you the tax payer, and rate payer to stand up for what you can afford to pay. I do think that if the plan for putting the School in the middle of Templeton Center passes, we will spend much more money for things that could have been avoided, with a good site. Snow removal, the need for adequate parking, the need for a playing field, or just a place for these kids to play during recess, comes to mind. Vote tomorrow, and remind your friends. These decisions will impact the families of The Town of Templeton, for years to come. Bev.
