BARRE - Charles Chase routed incumbent Selectman Kathlyn Inman by a wide margin in Monday's town election, defeating her 576-174.
Mr. Chase, who has been a vocal supporter of keeping Police Chief Erik J. Demetropoulos, ran a campaign that focused on supporting the chief.
Ms. Inman twice voted against renewing the chief's contract - once in November, and again in March.
The chief's contract is set to expire on June 30.
According to the town clerk, 755 out of 3,572 registered voters cast ballots.
**************************************Barre Voters Just Tossed Out Dooshnozzle Selectman Who Wants To Fire Police Chief For Being Too Nice
The other day we blogged about how the Barre Board of Selectman had voted to fire Police Chief Erik Demetropoulos for being “too nice.” Still can’t over how hilarious it is that they actually paid some fat guy from a consulting firm to reach that conclusion. Can’t make this stuff up. Anyway, the people of Barre did what the people of Worcester did to Tracy Novick, the people of Westminster did to Andrea Crete, and the people of Spencer need to do to Kevin Hayes – vote out the bad guys:
Don’t know who Kathy Inman is, don’t care. All you need to know is she’s a moron who thinks that a police chief shouldn’t be allowed to be nice. She had to go. Let this be a message sent to politicians everywhere – citizens have the right to recall you. Just because you won an election doesn’t give you the right to be an dooshnozzle indefinitely. You actually have to do your job and not piss everyone off.
I’m not that familiar with Barre politics, but I think this makes the vote 2-1 against the chief. Hopefully though the other two dingbats get the message and they use their noodleheads to do the right thing.
My Name is Paul H Cosentino. I started this Blog in 2011 because of what I believe to be wrongdoings in town government. This Blog is to keep the citizens of Templeton informed. It is also for the citizens of Templeton to post their comments and concerns.
