Neighborhood Meeting
Tuesday, September 4th at 6pm
Boynton Public Library
This meeting is for those of us who live and work near, or simply have an interest in our common. Specifically, we hope to have a helpful conversation about the large rock that was unearthed a few years back, and now sits beside the ‘all veterans’ memorial near the Narragansett Historical
Society building.
There are at least 2 opinions as to what to DO with the rock, and many of you likely share one or the other. While some
residents would like to see the rock removed, others feel that it could be fashioned into a memorial to those Templeton
residents who lost their lives in the Civil War. We would like to present information regarding the potential cost of each option, and hopefully, come to a consensus to present to the
Town officials, and eventually, town meeting.
If you are unable to attend, but have questions or comments you would like to share, please deliver them to me at the library, or by email to:
library@templeton1.org
by 4pm on the day of the meeting.
I look forward to seeing you,

I do not feel Templeton needs another memorial to War!
ReplyDeleteUsing this ugly rock would be the biggest insult to anyone, especially people who fought for what they thought was right at the time. I suggest it Mr. Call us thinks this rock is so wonderful we have it moved to his front yard.
