Lunar Eclipse Viewing Night, 1/20/19

Witness a spectacular lunar eclipse at our headquarters at Skyfields Arboretum.  Join us for a night filled with all things moon related! We will gather at 6pm and stay well into the night (Monday is a holiday) to view the full eclipse, feel free to stay for all or only part of the event as you wish. See what’s in store for the night below:

• 6-6:30pm: What is a Lunar Eclipse? ~ introductory presentation
• 6:30-7:30pm: Not That Kind of Moon Walk ~ stroll around our trails and learn about moon myths and legends
• 7:30-8:30pm: Potluck Dinner ~ bring your own or a dish to share back at our office
• 8:30-10:30pm: Movie Showing ~ moon-themed movie! BYOP (Bring Your Own Popcorn)
• 10:30-11:30pm: Bonfire, smores, story time ~ gear up for the full-eclipse next to a warm fire and treats
• 11:30- 1:00am on: Full eclipse on!

The moon will reach full eclipse starting at 11:41pm. This is a once in a blue moon kind of event! We’d love to have you join us for any part of the night. Please be advised that warm clothing will be needed for the walk. We will provide some flashlights but do bring your own if you have one! Direct any questions or concerns to duquet@mountgrace.org.
