Rumor has it...

Rumor has it...

Has anyone else heard the rumor that Phillipston elementary school parents and residents want out of the Narragansett Regional School District?

Isn't there a pre-K -12  regional district agreement in place?

Has anyone read it?

Isn't there a procedure for a town to leave the regional school district?

Do Templeton voters need to approve Phillipston's exit from the district by town meeting vote? And vice versa?

In other news, doesn't the new school assessment need to be approved by both Templeton and Phillipston town meetings - since the school committee changed the numbers and lowered the figures and all that? Doesn't this process need to happen by June 30th?

  3. They re-certified on June 4th. I believe they have 45 days from that date.

They will be going to a 1/12th budget as they have missed the July 1st date.
