The blog I wrote back on November 14th – it was in response to a” letter to the editor” published in the Gardner News, written by Virginia Wilder – one of the candidates for selectman – well Virginia do you have you facts correct yet?
Here again are the totals for what was paid to the law firm of Kopelman and Paige by the town of Templeton – taken from the actual checks written.
FY05 = $192,213.54
FY06 = $124,221.42
FY07 = $88,573.35
FY08 = $114,935.84
FY09 = $106,916.63
FY10= $83,639.26
FY11 = $91,587.85
Do we want a selectman that in my opinion can’t add?
The other candidate is Pat Mullins – people are remembering that he was for the landfill in town – as a matter of fact some people are saying that he even received money from the Town landfill account. Well I turn my questions about that to the Board of Health – Hey Mr. Trifilo, Chairman any truth to this?
What exactly have Bob M and Julie F done that calls for a recall? Let a person go that was not doing her job, in my opinion for the best interest of the town. She wasn’t supposed to be working just for Bob Columbus or Dennis Obrien or even her husband when he was selectman – she was supposed to be working for the entire BOARD OF SELECTMEN – and the taxpayers/residents. What did she do with all the complains I gave her about the wrongdoings on the ConCom – she handed some of them to the ConCom chairman Shaun Grimley,and she misplaced some, she never informed All of the selectmen – only the ones she wanted to inform. What did she do about employees being bullied and harassed by elected officials? NOTHING that’s what! So Virginia and Pat what would you do with my complaints – sweep them under the rug? What would you do about Mr. Columbus’ harassment and swearing at employees – oh well? Or maybe you’ll just run to Carol and Jerry S and ask them what to do next. Hey Pat – when is the last time you attended a selectmen’s meeting. And I must mention again the penalties for obstruction of justice to all involved. By know I hope you all have logged onto youtube - http://youtu.be/pg9JiHjzrzI and viewed the building that was purchased by the town with the pushing of the municipal building committee – Gerald Skelton, Chairman, Bob Columbus, Chris Stewart, Dennis Obrien. I only was voted at a Town Meeting that only 118 voters attended – yes this was decided by the majority vote out of 118 registered voters. What a setup!!! Because of how this was done it didn’t have to go to the ballots (polls) So know they say that we already invested $400,000. To purchase this (crappy, moldy, chemical smelling) building and we already paid over $100,000. for architect services so they say – we can’t stop now – we have to keep going to a total cost of over $2.8 million and pay for it over 40 YEARS YIKES!!!! Now let me ask you a good question – have any of you people ever made a bad investment, a bad purchase, did you continue to throw good money after bad or did you cut your losses and try to recoup what you could. Well I’ve been in business a very long time in “my town of Templeton” and I don’t believe we should continue to throw away good money – there are too many unanswered questions –black mold, chemicals, incomplete environmental (soil and ground water) testing, oh yeah – and no copies of Municipal Building Committee minutes on file at the town clerk’s office as required by law.
When I asked for an update on the building – I was told – no one knows what is going on – even the building committee members say – you have to ask the Chairman, J Skelton – last I heard every time the Board of Selectmen try to get him to a meeting to give an update – just like they do with the other committees and departments – Mr. Skelton says it’s not convenient. This is just wrong – but this is how they work – keep it from the taxpayers – right Virginia and Pat (team Skelton)So think about it folks the choice is yours. Please vote on all ballot questions.
Take a good look at the front of the East Templeton School and then take a look at the back with the big parking lot – a building we own the structure is beautiful and won’t cost fortune to renovate and didn’t had chemicals like chromium or mercury stored there (see environmental report for (252 Baldwinville Rd) One more thing – Mr. Shaun Grimley – if you are going to listen at closed doors at the Town Hall (when you are supposed to be working) – like you did when I was in talking to the town treasurer – get the story straight – in other words – listen properly – at least when I spread rumors they are true.
