Jeff Ritter to be let go

columbus, wilder and mullins seem to have the plan to get rid of Templeton town coordinator. Residents should look at the agenda for Monday, March 12, 2012 at 7:30 at the cafeteria, nrhs middle school. Executive session put on agenda by the chairman bob columbus. I am guessing but I do recall columbus very much against the dismissal of carol skelton. I have seen enough of wilder and mullins to make a safe guess that they will vote for his removal as well. How much will this bonehead move cost the taxpayers? Who is orchestrating all these moves and why? Perhaps the answers lie at these gatherings at the homes of skeltons, mullins and columbus. Unfortunately, it does not matter where or when, it appears the decision has been made now all that is needed is the sham of going forward with the motions. This will just add to the reasons to recall wilder and mullins. I hope as many people as possible attend Mondays meeting to let them know how much of a bad move this is. I hope taxpayers remind them that the recall was suppose to be about moving forward, not backwards. It seems they have K&P back and they want the budget to once again be made by sawyer and skelton and the hell with the taxpayers. You are the ones who will be left holding the bag. There is a legal opinion in the selectmens office from mark rich of K&P that says the $400,000.00 dollar question can not simply be put on the warrant for the May 7, 2012 election. The process has to begin all over again at town meeting. This opinion also states that there is no funding for the project so if bids do go out for the 252 building, it should specify on the bids that there is no funding in place so these bids may be for not anyways. It would seem the best thing to do is put 252 Baldwinville road up for sale, do what it takes to ready east Templeton school for town office space and move out of JBM and stop having taxpayers pay rent there which could be used by the owner to pay his property tax bill for the place. In my opinion, it makes no sense to pay rent and be subject to increases and be held hostage because we have no other place to go. Time to look out for the taxpayers rather than a select few. Time to push the selectmen to abolish pay for all elective offices and stipends for committees and chairmanships, time to see who is doing what for the town and who is in it for themselves. Remember with the pay for say selectmen, there is also the worcester regional retirement system which costs the taxpayers along with the people in the system. Why not eliminate both costs and see who is in it for the town. I remember people throwing in the towel when health insurance for elective office was abolished saving taxpayers about $80,000.00 per year. There were more than a few openings when that move was done and it showed who was there just for the insurance on the backs of the taxpayers. So much for public service. Keep pushing for this and see who argues against it and then you will know who is there for you and who is there for themselves. I personally do not take part in the retirement system and some people may think that is foolish but I did not do this to become a professional politician to live off the backs of the taxpayers, I did it because I care, as silly as that may sound. So remember, let people know, mullins, columbus and wilder may be on the verge of ousting town coordinator Jeff Ritter and bring back who knows but I have my suspicions (carol skelton) This is my opinion and my thoughts...........Jeffrey Bennett
