Theft of manhole covers

Details:While on Patrol, beware of subject or subjects committing larcenies of manhole covers in the City of Providence. From July of 2012 there have been 150 manhole covers reported stolen to police. In the last 5 days there has been approximately 40 covers stolen with most of the larcenies have accrued in Districts # 6 and District # 7. If any officers see workers working on manhole covers stop and investigate the work being conducted.

  1. Doesn't Templeton have the larger manhole covers due to Harry's less than slim waist size back in the day? He's looking slim and trim now!! When the "Scrappers" find out about the extra value in Templeton we may be out some manholes.

    1. Hey if we catch the crooks, we have no place to put them! What do they do with this stuff they steal , when half the recycle people in the country have been notified the man hole covers were stollen? Bev.

    2. scrap yards do not look at your whole load, just the weight, it is quite easy to hide the covers under other meatal as you drive thru the gate, Right Patrick Mullins
