  1. It is important for anyone who can go to this meeting to come tonight. The only way that we can see any changes with this group, is to let them know, they are not going to be able to work behind closed doors, keeping the citizens of our town in the dark. It is something when other municipal light companies, say on their web sites, that they are "not for profit, municipal utility, owned by the citizens of town, dedicated to providing, safe reliable energy ans high quality service at the lowest possible rates." This comes from the Ashburnham Municipal web site. There is something wrong when the people who work, and help and run our light company, feel the citizens of this town do not have a right, to have any say in the way they are running things. This attitude is so very wrong and has to change. Please come and support us. Bev.

  2. How weird is this? Back row at light and water meeting, mr. Cutting, VW, Dennis O'Obrien, Carol Skelton, Gerry Skelton...then Boob Columbus walks in

  3. Well, all the questioning of the L&W dept has ruffled some feathers, it seems. Are we close to exposing something they don't want the public to know? They must be worried about something with the king and queen making an appearance.

    1. Quick! Get a photo of all of them sitting in a row so we can put it in the history book.

    1. Not much. VW asked for the water dept. budget. Some grumbling whenever Bev spoke.

Mostly looks for guidance from Jerry on issues from the past.

    2. It was curious to learn that most of the people responsible for the "BOONDOGGLE" at 252 Baldwinville Rd. were gathered in one room. Jerry Skelton former chairman of BOS and municipal building committee, Dennis O'Brien former chairman of BOS member of building committee and abutter of 252 Baldwinville Rd; Carol Skelton, former town coordinator, Bob Columbus, former BOS chair and member of municipal building committee, Chris Stewart, current BOS chair and member of municipal building committee, Virginia Wilder, current BOS member who didn't think the municipal building committee should be disbanded and voted to allow the defunct municipal building committee to run up the tab for the BOONDOGGLE.

Hope this doesn't mean the turbine will end up a "boondoggle". That group seems to be attracted to such things.

  7. Yes! And still no Audit, but they called and Driscoll offered up his ability to help out with any problems they run into!
You know so the numbers can jive a little. It's almost 15% finished and now to date has a cost of 0? The camera was only allowed to be put in the rear and audio was poor there but can here it still. Thank the chairman for that. no one was or did sit there in front anyway! "1 more reason" to sign the petition to abolish the commission. then we will have it on the town tv and view on u tube for all. Sorry about the audio jeff and others but it is a new video recorder and first time i used it. It will be better but nothing was missed. low amount of people and teams were even and bev had the skelton's making comments every time she talked. Funny seeing them all in the "rear" where they belong, maybe thats why the audio was being interfered with?
feedback. questions about the turbine were plenty and also in the defensive tone, Jd spit out the cost to not run at 50k per month and thats doesn't include the repairs needed or test being done, pictures, oil change 35k, so i guess the month cost for your wind "powerless" turbine has a net loss of an easy 100k + great job wind power plant thats an extra 3 months added on to the length of our loan to pay for it. I asked if we were heading into the same deal as princeton and they laughed at them and the decision they made to sell and said they would never do that! Just like the floride never take it out even after voted out if we did!
    More to come,
