Hold On Again!

As I am reading the blog of March 30, 2013 7:23 PM I came across a very interesting anonymous. Seems there's a candidates night on April 11 that's a Thursday. The Kamaloht is sponsoring night one on Wednesday evening April 24, as they do every year for the voters. I PHC Sr plan to only go to one candidates night and that will be at the Kamaloht. I'm not going to get involved in a cat and mouse political game. Unless someone can arrange two elections, if you know what I mean. Why two candidates night's, Mike? Or is it someone won't make the one at the Kamaloht? Because of certain questions that will be asked. Or because certain questions that won't be allowed to be asked? I as a candidate can answer any and all questions directed to me, PHC sr. I might show up at the Legion to ask a few questions, as a voter/taxpayer not a candidate. I hope it's okay,

FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

Thanks for reading my opinion-Pauly

  1. interesting.... why would you have two candidate nights. It has always been hosted at the Kamaloht, i think your opinion is right, someone either cannot make it on the night it is scheduled and if that is the case then you reschedule whatever you had scheduled on that night if you really are running for the good of the town, or someone does not want to be in the same room with other people - again, if you cannot be in the same room with some people who is running how can you possibly work together, or is it a way to send a message that i will do whatever i want to do and talk to people when i want to?

these are just my opinions and assumptions, if there is no justification or notification of why there is another candidates night at the Legion, then people will make assumptions as to why.

  2. Dear Mr. Consentino

There are many valid reasons for having more than one candidates’ night for debates. First, you always talk about how much your town needs change. You are right, the town does need change. You are always talking about how much more residents should become involved in town politics to see what is happening in town, and I feel that you are 100% correct. Many more people should be involved in town meetings and town-wide events. I feel that people should have more than one night to go and ask the candidates questions. Maybe some people have prior commitments for one night or the other. Perhaps, some candidates cannot make it to one night or the other for whatever the reason. Whoever cannot make it to the first candidates’ night has a second opportunity. As far as I am concerned, all candidates, including you, should be there to speak.

Could it be that you are afraid of what may be asked to you; because I haven’t heard anyone else complain about going to more than one candidates’ night. Also, when the president is running for office he or she will attend many debates over a period of time to be sure that he or she can talk to as many citizens as possible. This is the reason that I organized a second night. I chose the night that I am sponsoring weeks ago, well before any other was known, and my invitation letters went out before I knew of any other night.

It appears that you have an issue of control. If you don’t get your own way, you get all bent and irritated. I am hosting a candidates’ night, and I hope to see you there.

On another note, I find you to be a very unethical person. First, any person or entity in town that flashes a check in front of a TV camera trying to buy the town coordinator is very unethical and immoral. You do not try to buy any person that is elected or works for the town. I believe the ethics commission would have real issues with that. Also, any person and his girlfriend that would drive up to his competition’s gate at his place of business and use his binoculars to spy on his competitor’s business when it is closed is very unethical. I told you time and time again if you wanted to know what I had going on; all you needed to do was come and talk to me. I am always around and generally am around when you and Sue pull up to my gate. When I am not there, I watch the business on my surveillance cameras. As far as I am concerned, I would not cast my vote for a person that is unethical to represent the Town as a Selectman. It is too bad, because we used to do business together. We probably could have done a lot more business together, but unfortunately never will.

After all is said, we both live in OUR Town of Templeton. It is not only YOUR town, but OUR town, and we, like everyone else in town, all need to get along as best as possible for the good of the town. This is how I feel about the whole situation, and I hope to see you at candidates’ night.

By the way, I thought that this bog was designed to inform the townspeople about town issues and for town information. I did not think that your blog was created to verbally and mentally bash others or to carry and support lies, untruths, and rumors to the residents of OUR Town of Templeton.

These are my opinions, and I am using my right to VOICE them.
    I have that right.

    1. Sir, if you've lived here for so long, then you would certainly know that Candidate's Night is always held at Khamalot. There's nothing wrong with posing the question as to why is there a second Candidate's Night. Seems like you have a personal problem with Pauly and do not care for him much. I do not share your opinion. To me, Pauly is a good man who calls it like it is. He has been kind to people who need kindness. He's a man of his word. I appreciate hearing his opinion on local politics and on life in general. Many of the issues Pauly made noise about have been proven true. In my opinion, that says a lot. Instead of tearing down Pauly personally, (which is exactly what you accused him of doing to others) why don't you comment on who you are supporting for selectman and why?

    2. It's quite obvious who he supports, Don't they ALL start the name calling, Lies, Rumours, right before the elections, EVERYTIME.

    3. MIKE, You really believe this blog is full of Lies, Untruths, and Rumours. wow I thought you were smarter than that. Why don't you put on paper what you think are the Lies, Rumours, and Untruths. and gauranteed there will be FACTS prove you wrong. You need to stop listening to little stevie.

    5. I believe the check that this gentleman is referring to, was never cashed or received. Also the person to whom it was written had just been let go from the town in a very heated meeting. Remember when BC, VW & PM fired JR to bring back CS, who ended up screwing up the ATM warrant causing the need for the latest STM? I believe the intent of the check was to hire JR to keep after the misdeeds of the then BOS and K&P, misdeeds that have been completely backed up with evidence and been confirmed by a vote on town floor that the Attorney General should investigate. You won’t find Pauly’s signature on any of the paperwork that will be looked into, you will find Mr. Skelton’s signature and handwriting ALL over them.

Secondly, anyone in business should know what their competitor is doing, how they are running. Do you think that no one from WalMart has ever stopped by Target to see what the competition is up to? They would be foolish not to see for themselves.

So 2 candidates’ nights, I love it! Bring it on!
To all the candidates: Get ready for some good probing questions.

  3. Dear Mr. Ferris,

I would like to commend you for hosting an additional candidates night. I hope to attend as many candidate forums as possible. I have many questions for the candidates!

I think it is curious that you would post a comment to a blog that you feel is full of lies, untruths and rumors. Could you please cite examples of these lies, untruths and rumors? This blog has had over 440,000 hits, so there must be some proof of your allegations of lies, untruths and rumors. One solution would be to start your own blog.

Final point, if Pauly's blog were so biased, and full of lies and untruths, wouldn't your comment have been removed?

    1. Ken or anyone else can read all about the "Battle of the Bales on my blog, Bevs country roads. There is a link to it on this blog. The bales are sitting under a foot of gravel, "supping up" all of the water, in the area. Mr. Farris's, grandfather, got involved with another selectman, at the time, Mr. Ryder. Instead of going to the town with the offer to start a landfill, Mr. Ryder and Mr. Hutchenson did a deal. This was not a smart thing, for either of them to do and it caused a lot of hard feelings for everyone. Mr. Ferris, this blog is for the people of Templeton. What we write is the truth, and this is the only place you will find the truth. Like Pauly or not I do not care, but Pauly stood by us all those years ago, during the Battle of the Bales, as he has stood for the right of the taxpayer to know the truth, this time around also. Didn't your mother teach you to respect your elders?? I guess that is a no! It is too bad, you could learn a lot from him and others. I think Pauly has lived long enough so he can manage without you liking him. If you do not think you can vote for someone with ethics problems, then it leaves you with Pauly, Doug, or Ken. I hope you have a nice day, you sound like a very angry person, and that is too bad. My opinion, Bev.
