WE NEED YOUR HELP!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Templeton and the Back Bay Project are considering submitting applications for a Block Grant. The money Templeton is seeking is very hard to get. It is critical that the Town be able to show strong Community Support for the grant we are considering submitting applications for.

PLEASE send a letter as soon as possible. For more information, click here>>>>>  Every voice counts-don't miss your chance to be heard!

 WE NEED YOUR HELP

The Back Bay Project was recently awarded a grant to rebuild Memorial Street and finish the 8-year effort that methodically addressed the neighborhood's failing infrastructure.
It is now time to look ahead. Templeton is considering a submission for the next round of Block Grant applications and we need your help to determine how and where we want to focus our community development efforts.

 How you can help ...

The money Templeton is seeking is very hard to get. It is critical that the Town be able to show strong COMMUNITY SUPPORT for the grant. By writing a letter to the Town you can express your support and advocate for projects you support. PLEASE send a letter as soon as possible to:

Templeton Board of Selectmen
690 Patriots Road, P.O. Box 250
Templeton, MA 01468

In the letter, please ...
  • Tell the town what neighborhood or area of Town needs community development work such as new roadways and water mains, housing rehabilitation assistance, public social service needs, or loans for businesses to fix their exteriors, just to name a few.
  • Give examples, if any, of how you've been affected by the previous grant work.
  • Cite specific concerns, such as: is your road falling apart? Does your roof leak? Do you need modifications to your home for accessibility?
  • Include your address.
Help guide Templeton's future community development activities!

Every voice counts - don't miss your chance to be heard!

Any questions? Call the Community Development Office at 978.939.5350

Stay tuned for community meetings to be held this fall to discuss the application!

Thank you!

  1. If you think East Templeton would make a great town hall, this is your opportunity to submit a letter.

    1. A long with E.T. as a town hall, a change to the traffic should be a top priority. I saw a drawing of plans for a rotary in the selectmen's office. I just do not understand how we have not had more accidents there. People tear down 2A from Gardner like it is a race track. Maybe they do not understand it is such a congested area. Ideas are good for everyone to look at., and add their 2 cents. Be nice, everyone has a right to their opinion.

    2. Please think hard, do you have a neighbor who is elderly that needs work on their house, or any one who could be considered low income that needs septic work, a roof, a new furnace? If you do, send them to the Community Development Office. This is one of the deals that is gone if we don't use it someone else will. Bev.
