Friends
of the Templeton Elders gathered recently for the 120 Club's big
drawing. The evening started with pizza followed by a 50/50 raffle and a
Food Chinese Auction. Among the items were two passes to the Theatre at
the Mount donated by Virginia Strahan, a large straw witch donated by
Gail Noel and two pots of mums donated by Gloria Duguay. The winners
were Quimby Whitney, above, with the straw witch, Barbara Nash DeCoff
with her big check, below left, and Theresa Belletete - -50/50, Margaret
Baczewski - Theatre at the Mount; Kevin Jones-mums; and Shelby Rich
and Carolyn Touchette, money. Below right, Priscilla LeClerc brings in a
platter of goodies. The Friends outlined their plans for the rest of
the year and 2016. President Gail Noel thanked all who contributed
their time, talent and donations to Friends in their efforts to provide
support for the next phases of the new Templeton Senior Community
Center. Currently, the new location of the Templeton Food Pantry is
being constructed on the ground floor of the new center. Future
projects include siding, the kitchen and a wheelchair lift.
