Just a note

My apoligies if my weekend blogs upset anyone - just shows my frustration of the rehiring of Carol Skelton. Where will the money come from to pay her. the advisory boards money is suppose to be for emergencies.  This is not an emergency - we should have Jeff Ritter still working here and we would still have money in that acct. What they Columbus and Wilder did to him is unacceptable. Please be at the advisory meeting on Wednesday April 18 6:00PM NMS Cafeteria - again sorry if my blog affended the readers.

  1. Pauly, many of us understand (myself included) what you are feeling. A person can only take so much when looking for Justice & finding that all the doors you knocked on, doing things the legal way, that all those doors wind up closing on you. That's if you were able to open any in the 1st place. I don't think the average reader can appreciate what it has taken out of you. But, I can. I have not experienced fully what you have been through but the bit I have been through (which has been a nightmare itself) let's me know I have felt only a smidgen (bad enough) of what you have had building up inside for years!!. I am hoping that soon someone in a position of authority will help us & then you can find some peace, my friend. I call you friend, even though we have not met, because of the bond of trying to get the word out & see some justice take place to those who have BETRAYED the public trust be accountable for breaking it!! Take heart & hope you can sleep tonight.

  2. Pauly, the big difference between you and the SCWM gang (Skelton, Columbus, Wilder, Mullins) is that you voice your opinions in PUBLIC and in writing. I can assure you that they have said far worse things about you, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Mitchell and Ms. Farrell and many others in the privacy of their own gatherings. The thing about speaking out in public is that people can agree or disagree with what you say. You take that chance. Everyone is a critic. But, that is a wonderful thing is because you are seen as a real honest person. There is no assuming what you think or feel or where you stand. So many people out there appreciate your ability to stand up and be heard and wish they could do the same.

If you do not point out or object to wrong doings you see in your community, then you are contributing to the wrong doing and progress will never happen. Honesty seems to be at the root of all the issues in Templeton. When people do not follow the letters of the law…when people bully others into doing things (like quitting their job)…when people conduct town business behind closed doors & in the shadows…that is not honest. The SCWM gang has proven to be dishonest over the last several months and earlier. This is why so many people are upset--so much dishonesty! That is why attendance is up at meetings, not because they are there to "impede town business" or to support one "side" or "person". They want some HONEST ANSWERS.

Pauly, we may not always agree with you or how you say things; we may not always agree with Mr. Bennett, Mr. Mitchell or Ms. Farrell, either. However, all of you have conducted your business and voiced your opinions in public and in an honest way and that is respectable. Plus, all of their opinions are backed up with documentation. Credibility. All opinions and actions of the Citizens 4 Templeton have occurred in public and are open for anyone to read or participate. State officials can read all of this easily online. The other group does not operate in the same way. Their communication is private. The statements that they do make in public are broad strokes without any supporting information behind them. They do not put their true intensions in writing. That is why they attack their opponents rather than engaging in debate over the issues to seek a common ground.

The peaceful protest this morning was a success. Citizens respectfully showed their opposition to what has happened with our town coordinator. No angry words were exchanged. No need for arrests. They exercised their right to protest an unjust action. NOTHING UNRULY OCCURRED. So, anyone that wanted to attend but didn't in fear of getting in trouble or being a part of something ugly, please know it IS possible to speak out and take a stand and not have it reach a negative ending. And that is exactly the intent of the Citizens 4 Templeton. They want to find solutions to the problems, not be the problems.

Pauly, continue to speak out. Many are hearing you. We don't always have to agree 100% and that is what makes this country so amazing! People give their lives to protect this right. Good men like Joe Boyd should be applauded for giving a damn--defending his country--defending his town. More people should give a damn. All of us are guilty of saying and doing things in the heat of passion. Passion is not a bad thing. It shows we care. It shows we think this community is worth giving a damn about.

We all share your frustration with the lack of help from the state. Laws have been broken and that needs to be addressed. If we continue to communicate, share ideas, information, and our true emotions, we will find a way to move this town forward and get some justice....working together...in an honest way.

  3. As a stupid employee, Carol, oh not her, me, should not have been brought back, and shame on those selectboard members for even considering it, SHE HAS A LAW SUIT AGAINST THE TOWN, HELLO, even this stupid employee knows ya shouldn't do that... When ever she was asked a question, she would need to check with the attorney's first before she would give ya an answer, I understand she could never give an answer directly, always had to get back to ya. Someone in that position should not have to really think about it, unless the situation was a really difficult one and then understandable. However, she really should not have real authority anyway, she is only a keeper of the books so to speak for the selectmen, oh but wait, that's what the other secretaries are to do, all of her work.
    Just a stupid employee.

    1. Let's hope she realizes that she's under close scrutiny these days. I actually feel bad for all of you who were getting to used to having a competent Town Coordinator in Mr. Ritter. I hope Scott Sawyer gets fed up with CS tomorrow; it's going to be as if he has been working with a genius the past couple of months, and now he has to deal with a first grader when it comes to budget and management.
