Public Record Requests and Appeals

After the Special Town Meeting on October 20, 2016 there was some scuttlebutt about who knew what, when and why regarding Article 8 - The vote to rescind the elementary school. Why was it so important to quash any discussion on this article? 

So, in the public interest I made a public record request for the legal invoices from August 2016 through October 2016. I was provided the cover sheets where in the past, I was given the entire detailed invoice.

So why the change? Hiding something?

Anyway, the appeal just came through:

 "Order
          I find the Town has failed to comply with the statutory and regulatory obligations to respond to a public records request. Accordingly, the Town is hereby ordered to provide Ms. Farrell with a revise response to the request, within ten (10) days, prepared in a manner consistent with this order..."

When I get the invoices I'll post them!

    Templeton would be a much different place to live without the citizens like Julie and other Advisory board members.

  2. Lets hope the index for contracts 5k and over will be the next thing to be sent down to the BOS as following the law is what they should be doing.
