Sunday June 19, 7AM I had a hard time sleeping the past 10 days as my girlfriend and life saver Susan Byrne was bitten by a feral cat, while trying to protect her two love of her life puppies. The feral cats are bigger than her dogs. 1 a cocker spaniel and the other a Maltese mix. We have complained to the animal control and police several times. The only common sense answer I received was (you know what to do Pauly) yes I know what to do but I think this feral cat thing is a set up by someone to jeopardize my business. Recycling center on 50 acres.
It was tried 2 years ago by some sneaky low life or lowlifes, but it didn’t work because the DEP in Worcester have honest people working for us taxpayers in Massachusetts. Most of the people that read my blog know exactly what has been going on in Templeton with the ConCom and the Board of Selectmen. Now we face another life threatening situation with the feral cat that bit her on the hand as she was trying to protect her puppies. Because the animal control officer has not responded to her calls and emails. On Saturday (June 18) the doctor would not give her the 4th treatment of the rabies vaccine because she had an allergic reaction to the vaccine (treatment #3). The doctor told her that she had a couple of days (probably by Monday) to find out the outcome of the quarantine of the cat. Well we trapped 4 cats on that Saturday that Sue got bit and the animal control officer finally came to get them on Monday (after numerous calls to dispatch) Well she never called Sue to ask her which of the 4 cats bit her and she never let Sue know the outcome of the quarantine. Here’s the quandary - 4th treatment, strong possibility of a severe (life threatening) allergic reaction or no 4th treatment, if cat had rabies – death. Only Chairman Julie Farrell has called and asked her how she is doing and has tried to help.
So why don’t you all call dispatch and ask what to do about feral cats, you’ll be surprised at the answer.
