Hello Friends

What a great Selectmen’s meeting last night – very businesslike – no bul----  I have been very impressed with Mr. Ritter. He has dug in gotten right to work – There is a very different feel at 690 Patriots Road – lately – I like the change!!
Now comes the big question – according to Mr. Columbus ( as stated at a previous selectmen’s meeting) if the recall happens - Virginia Wilder and Patrick Mullins will bring back former Town Coordinator Carol Skelton (can everyone say “conspiracy”)  How does Mr. Columbus know what Virginia Wilder and Patrick Mullins would vote – oh wait- maybe it was discussed at the big meeting at the Skelton house on Sunday with Dennis O’Brien, Bob Columbus and Jerry S – or was this just  an illegal (not posted) meeting of the Municipal Building Committee, (or maybe they were having a Patriots Party)

Have you ever looked up the word – puppet at www.dictionary.com  read #2 – a person, group, government etc., whose actions are prompted and controlled by another or others.  Does this fit Ms. Wilder and Mr. Mullins?
Let’s continue moving forward –
Mr. Wilfred (Bumpsy) Dennis asked me a question last night – for those of you who don’t know Mr. Dennis – he was on the Board of Assessors for a very long time – Mr. Dennis asked me if an appraisal had been done on 252 Baldwinville Road prior to the town the town purchasing it. I said “no, that I believed they went by the assessment”. Well Mr. Dennis said – an assessment is not an appraisal – I told Mr. Dennis that Dennis O’Brien was at my kitchen table at the junkyard in the fall of 2010, when he received a call on his cell from Mr. Dipetro (the owner of 252 Baldwinville Rd) I heard Mr. O’Brien (with my own ears) offer $400,000.00 for the building.  What was Dennis O’Brien doing at my kitchen table you ask – complaining to me about Carol Skelton and Bob Columbus.
Do you remember back when Jerry and his gang wanted to by the Golf Course? Well the Town wasted $5000.00 on an appraisal for the golf course. But we bought the building at 252 Baldwinville Rd for $400,000. without having it appraised or having an inspection done.  Now we need more money $400,000.00 plus $157,000.00 because the roof building codes changed – What kind of architects/builders don’t know that  codes constantly changing? And if the extra money is for “the roof because of code changes” why does the ballot article say as posted by the Town Clerk
“Shall the Town of Templeton be allowed to assess an additional $400,000.00 in real estate and personal property taxes for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012, for the purpose of Article 12 of the November 7, 2011 Special Town Meeting for the purpose of designing, reconstructing, project management, originally equipping and furnishing the building located at 252 Baldwinville Road, Templeton, including the payment of all cost incidental and related thereto”
Here we go again – can the Municipal Building Committee be honest with us??? Total cost $2.4 Million –What will this do to our taxes???
THERE IS AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING REGARDING THE PROPOSED NEW TOWN HALL AT 252 BALWINVILLE ROAD ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25th, 7:00PM at the High School KIVA – let’s all go an ask some good questions!!!!
