Help is headed to Houston
"Between the two of them, connections were made and word began spreading about their need to collect necessities including basic first aid medical supplies, bandages and Tylenol, as well as personal and feminine hygiene products, supplies for children and babies, dry clothing for all ages, water, and toys. He said word has spread out and there are many not only in Gleason’s hometown of Baldwinville and Strait’s Gardner community, but also people in Athol, Templeton, Orange, Ashburnham, Leominster, Fitchburg and Lancaster now working together in the effort. Thirsty Turtle Pub in Baldwinville
Strait’s home and barn at 663 Green St. in Gardner.
Gleason is also working on asking the Masonic Lodge Hall at 42 Central St. in Gardner to act as another spot.
Mount Wachusett Community College Fitness and Wellness Center. Official collection there will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Godin said donations can be brought there at any time until then.
Walmart at 555 East Main St. in Orange from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., also on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
Other drop off locations, include the home of Derek Ringuette at 21 Bridge St. in Baldwinville
Rietta Ranch in Hubbardston on Sunday
American Legion buildings in both Baldwinville and Winchendon,
and the Otter River Sportsman’s Club in Templeton.
Items needed:
toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, combs, brushes and other small necessary items.
