From Jeff Bennett's Templeton Watch

Okay, here is a math problem for you:

Templeton local required contribution . . . . . . . . . . . . $4,385,110.00
additional appropriation . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  $1,272,179.00
Templeton transportation difference . . . . . . . . . . . . .   $   675,463.00
debt service . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  $   417,911.00
Total . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $6,750,663.00

Now, from Templeton Town Meeting:
 warrant article # 33  NRHS district . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $6,332,752.00

to pay NRHS district for educating, transporting students and capital and debt expenses.

Is the debt expense included in the motion dollar figure presented by the selectmen?

I guess the answer will be, no problem, we will do it over in the fall.

  1. $417,911.00 was just plan overlooked, forgotten. Maybe, just maybe, this is a prime example of the issues Advisory points out that create the attitude from many on the Administration.

Maybe the next time someone points out a screw up the BOS/Administration should just sit back and say...................THANK YOU.

  2. Seeing our Accountant is not cretified, could that be the problem ? Maybe someone spends to much time playing Selectman to pay attention to her own job ? Whatever the problems, this is a problem. As some of us have found, throwing money at someone does not make them competent.
Selectmen, this is on you !

  3. Looking back at the warrant for the November 2017 Call Town Meeting, it is obvious the people at town hall know how to do the warrant the right way. I sure as he'll hope they don't send the mess they have up to the A.G 's office . How embarrassing would that be !
