Groundhog Day
At the District wide meeting last night, the amendment to lower the school committee figure from $19,786,889 to $19,500,000 was passed yet again.
The vote on the amendment passed with YES -122 NO - 76 at 7:52 pm.
The amended motion passed at YES - 119 NO- 74 at 7:54 pm

The idea that Templeton BOS should ask for a lower override amount is insane. Templeton voted an override last year in part to fund and keep Fire/EMS levels to maintain ALS. What will be cut if the School committee number stands - public safety. Why would any Templeton voter vote for an override, when the school district will come in and demand that money as well next year?
