Taxes , Taxes and more Taxes

So let's see...
an FY 2020 tax rate of  $18.68
an FY 2016 tax rate of  $16.47

That looks like an increase of $2.21

Oh!

THAT increase does NOT include the new school, nor the police station...

Your astronomically high water rates will soak up the cost for the proposed water tower replacement with a 40 year USDA loan! Thank God for that!

hmm. So much for the $1.74/1,000.

  1. What I don't understand is all the property owners who never showed up to vote in the last election. When you let someone else make your money decisions that is not ignorance that is stupidity.

  2. Someone should explain this to The Gardner News and others that continue to put a positive spin on how affordable things will be once the new school is finished. They fail to consider the fact that change order after change order, will more than likely drive up the price of the school. They also ignore the fact that the rest of the town has to run and that costs us money !! Imagine that !!
