April 24th Meeting...They sit upon a throne of lies

“We find this proposal to be completely unacceptable for many reasons,” she said. “Templeton parents were promised their kids would go to school in Templeton” and so were Phillipston parents."

There will be a meeting to discuss the re-organization of the NRSD elementary schools on April 24th  in the KIVA.

Questions?

Why is Templeton building and paying for an Elementary school?

Why does the new design of the Templeton Elementary School have classrooms and bathrooms outfitted for Pre-K and Kindergarten students, if they will not be attending Templeton Elementary School?

If Phillipston students attend Templeton Elementary School, will Phillipston taxpayers fund a portion of the project? Will the Town of Templeton project become a NRSD project? ...in the middle of construction? ...with MSBA approval?...with DOR approval?

Neighboring regional school districts (think Quabbin) are holding meetings to discuss closing some of their towns' elementary schools.

How cost effective will it be to keep Phillipston Memorial School open with an enrollment of 115 students?

How many more lies will YOU be told before this project is completed?

  1. How convenient for Phillipston parents to vote no to the building of a new school then want to attend it ! For what 0 investment. I don't know about you but I think that stinks ! I have no idea what the School Building Committee was thinking ! How many pre.K.kids did they plan on ? The elementary schools are not in a regional agreement, so the Superintendent should mind his own business !
