Democrats and Republicans playing political games
Some sources tell me that after the election, Templeton will get the money for the senior center. Of course, never count the chickens until the eggs hatch. Republicans do not want to give the democrats as in Denise Andrews anything to help her reelection bid and now the democrats can say its them big bad republicans. Not sure why they both don't just get it done then stand together and tell us how they are working together for us? One thing is clear, Democrats and Republicans both play the same games. Please go and vote and please support the overrides for the town of Templeton.

I support the overrides. We have more and more vacancies to try to fill. My belief is that we need to address compensation in Templeton in a few key areas.
ReplyDeleteWe have increased the line item for the Town Accountant's salary. We have advertised on numerous occasions. Still no luck. We have had a number of police officers leave the department for employment elsewhere. The search for a town administrator didn't work out so well...except Bob Markel agreed to stay on part-time for another year.
Bob Markel and I talked to Sen. Brewer yesterday afternoon. Sen. Brewer stated we should pass over the warrant article for the senior center because the money is there for Templeton. I know Sen. Brewer has worked tirelessly on Templeton's behalf over the years and this case is no exception.

As far as partisan politics goes, both sides do play the same game. I am voting strictly along democratic lines this election. I don't want the state to experience the same level of gridlock as we see at the federal level.Until Citizens Untied is overturned, I don't hold out much hope for government that isn't bought and paid for.
