Join local chefs and restaurateurs in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Taste of North Central, a fundraiser that will be held Nov. 19 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 99 Erdman Way, Leominster.

The event will benefit the Montachusett Opportunity Council in Fitchburg, an agency whose mission is to "alleviate poverty and create healthy communities by providing services, coordinating community resources that promote self-sufficiency and advocating for social change."

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be directed to MOC's programs for children and families and an emergency fund to help families cope with fuel and food costs this winter.
General admission to Taste of North Central will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per person. VIP admission, $80 per person, is from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Call (978) 345-7040, or visit www.tasteofnorthcentral.org for ticket information. Note: General admission tickets will also be sold at the door.

New this year will be beer and wine tastings served by Wyman's Liquors in Leominster. Guests also will be able to bid for silent auction items online via a mobile device. Pre-registration at www.bidpal.com is recommended for advance bidding.
