  1. It is beyond me why the people in Templeton want to be told everything is just fine, no problem, when that is far from the truth !! Ok so you want the people you just elected to tell you we have no problems when the cost of the audits go up and up. So you want to keep the Light and Water just like it is ? Fine, let the business make more and more in profit, and give us less and less. So just who do you think will make up the difference?? Go look in the mirror !! Yes you !! How are we going to build that new school with no bond rating ?? Oh yes, short term borrowing. What is that going to cost ?? Markel does not care. It is not his dime. If you did not vote, you will get the government you deserve. Thank you Mr, Morrission for taking credit for our new Town Hall. Did you just happen to forget the people who worked longer and harder ?? I guess so.

  3. Echo Hill/ Light pulls strings, the taxpayers are the puppet. I really think it will come out in the wash, it's just a long cycle. Light and Water along with Echo Hill pulls the strings. I think the worse thing that happened to the taxpayers was when they voted no three times, and this three times turned into a yes. I have talked to people who are angry that they voted no but Bud got his excavator anyway. Don't ask people to vote if you are going to do it anyway. The thing was, Bud needed it anyway. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

  5. Bev, You are absolutely correct. Why vote in this town? The school overwhelms the townsfolk in polls. I voted NO multiple times on school and Phillipston residents overrode my Templeton Vote.

    Why dont we combine our elections so we get turnout? 1/10 of the population turned out to vote yesterday, why, because they are sick of spending time, going to town meetings, special meetings etc and we get options like the mess in the center. What a choice. It's like , hey, want to burn or drown?

    We need to allow people to voice without requiring they sit through town meetings that have gone on for days. These special town meetings tend to draw the people to get it passed as they are the only one who care enough to spend more time voting in this town.

    We need to move our town government into the 21'st century. No more should we be 3 yrs without a audit. If money is missing, lost or improperly recorded people must be held accountable.

  6. This paragraph regarding the town meeting warrant says it all. Please tell me who will see the posted warrant? Who goes to post office regularly? Who reads the Gardner News?

    "This is to certify that I have served the within warrant by posting attested copies thereof in each precinct;
    namely at the Post Office in Templeton, the Post Office in East Templeton, the Post Office in Baldwinville, and
    at the Town Hall at 160 Patriots Road, E. Templeton, fourteen (14) days at least before the time of holding said
    meeting and by causing notice of the same to be published once in the Gardner News, a newspaper published in
    said Worcester County, in the City of Gardner.

    The Templeton webpage has warrant listed, but you cannot access it because its not linked....so how do the majority of townspeople find out about the town meeting????

    The system is antique, why not send a telegraph too? Smoke signals?

  9. Mike i think change was the key this time around with the BOS
    The real question is will there be change for the better or something else.
    Things could get a whole lot worse real quick. People could get wise and ask for more changes the town could not afford. How bout that new school.Police Station. Water Tank.Sewer pump station.Chip Boiler.School choice. To tired to list them all here and now. You get my point.

    1. So they call me and Julie troublemakers. I am trying to stop the town from throwing more money away. We can not do it alone.
