Hey Pete!!

In my opinion Chris started getting huffy with you tonight, when you asked a question of “ who did it”. To quote Chris – “I am not going to lie to you people” “I don’t know who changed the wording and other things on the warrant. I know I did not vote on those articles” and Bennett also said that he didn’t vote on those changes. So who can it be? Carol and Virginia team up with Columbus to tamper with and change town meeting articles? I am personally voting No on every article that is not in my best interest. The hell with what they want to be passed, Wilder, Columbus, Carol S, and as far as Mullins is concerned – I think he is thinking more about HIS future not ours. I would like to see the town meeting stopped tomorrow because of the wrong doings by a certain three elected officials, you know who – vote yes to stop the town meeting for 2 weeks, so we can get this mess straightened out.

Thanks for reading.

  1. The selectman have to know who changed the articles. If Chris Stewart does not know he does have the power to find out. I can not see what is so hard about back tracking to determine who tampered with the warrant articles and then proceed with the next course of action against the guilty parties.

  2. Without an approved budget, I don't think town meeting can proceed very far. The BOS need to develop and VOTE on a budget that is balanced. The final budget dated 5/2/12 was never approved by the BOS before it was given to the Advisory Board.

This budget is based on a number of assumptions - that the ambulance fund will be rescinded. Who decided that ambulance service in Templeton would be a gamble with a special town meeting in the Fall? Who voted to do that? or is it all done behind closed doors? I think all stipends for elected officials should be ended for this year. There is no rhyme or reason for the amount of the stipends. Some boards are earmarked for $300 - $500 dollars other boards and commissions for much more.

I think a two week recess will give the BOS to come up with a balanced budget that will look nothing like the one presented on 5/2/12.

  3. 2 weeks brings you into Graduation Week. It may be hard to schedule the school that week.

  4. I can not with certainly say who changed the wording of the articles, who added an article back into the warrant after selectmen voted it out and I do not know who came up with the numbers for article 31 ( so called selectmens budget to operate the town) What I can say is the selectmen voted on April 4, 2012 to accept the warrant ( I was not present but did receive a packet and read minutes) Those articles were sent to attorneys on April 12, 2012. Then carol skelton was back in the coordinator office and the next time I saw the warrant at a selectmen meeting, an article that was voted off was back in, wording was changed on many articles and dollar amounts were changed. Bob Columbus said he did not know who did it when asked and he made no effort to find out. The budget process was going well until the recall and the arrival of mullins and wilder who along with columbus proceeded to bring back len kopelman, got rid of Jeff Ritter and brought back carol skelton and ignored the budget and warrant for town meeting. Columbus, wilder and mullins were so focused and concerned with doing 3 things, kopleman back, Ritter gone and carol skelton back that they ignored thier duty to the taxpayers. I can attest that when it is one against the rest, it is hard to get anything done. By the time chris stewart came around, to some degree, it was to late. The recall happened and as his father-in-law said, the recall was necessary. Why was that, to bring back kopelman, get rid of Ritter and bring back skelton. Thank you columbus, wilder and mullins. Word to them: RECALL COMING AUGUST 7 2012

  5. Has Carol Skeleton left her position? Has she packed up her desk and vacated the office? Is the position of Town Coordinator currently vacant?

    1. We all know who changed the warrant. Ok, all she did was create alot of problems that now has to be straightened out. You guys are right, there is no way we can have a town meeting tonight. The one thing is sure, it shows that Mrs. S. is not competant to do that job. This gives the selectman enough reason to not reappoint her. I do not want Chris to tell Pete to shut up again. He can find a better way to handle him or anyone else as far as that goes. Virginia better get her head out of the sand. She really thinks that budget was balanced. As I have said, it will come out in the wash. Bev.

    2. I was hoping someone asked the question about CS still working? If she is, and we have no money to pay her, does that mean she will sue us for her pay. My answer is YES!

    3. How about a lawsuit against her this time for all the things she has done to, COST not save, this town money!! I believe when more "digging" is done that might be a possibility. Just my Opinion!

  6. Mullins actually looked up a few times last night. In between playing with his pen and paperclip. I believe I actually heard him mumble a few words. WOW

It amazes me everytime I hear VW speak. It's never anything good or smart. I wonder who balances the budget
    in her family.

Can't wait to see the legal bills for April. Still have May and June to go. Does this mean we will not have legal counsel available for the month of June? No money available to pay them.

Need new town coordinator, new town accountant, new town legal counsel.

  7. Presently town has $14,629.00 in legal account. After payment of the $7,400.00 legal bill for march, there will be about $7,200.00 left. When the April bill comes in, I believe it will empty the account out, leaving no money to pay for May and June bills, whatever they may be. Len may have to follow through on his word of working within the budget, as in for nothing. Bob Columbus signed off on pay sheets for town tax collector, so she collected pay for both the tax collector and treasurer work, signing off on payroll and vendor checks. This not only violates law about paying someone twice who works for town, it puts carol-lee in danger of ethics violation and up to $10,000.00 fine. Not a good thing for chair of select board to do, especially after board declared at public meeting that she would receive no extra pay for this work. Someone decided that the response to the mcad complaint filed against the town and 3 selectmen should be split up, that is two different responses to the same complaint. Taxpayers ultimately pay for 2 law firms, directly or through insurance, either way, they pay. Selectmen never voted on this or discussed it. Who did it benefit and who okayed it. Bob Columbus has some answering to do and I hope the select board demands answers. If it is K&P, I want to know who told Len to do this? Carol skelton was not in the office today because there is no money to pay her, bye bye.

  8. The mcad complaint was the complaint/suit filed against the town and 3 selectmen by carol skelton after she was let go back in October, 2011. Someone initiated this action and taxpayers deserve an answer. virginia wilder wants to okay spending $3000.00 on desks but questions spending $600.00 on a computer for the treasurers office. Virginia Wilder said she has no idea how the split reply came about on a complaint filed against the town by "her dear friend, carol" Something is fishy and it is not in Denmark. Most of these questionable things happened after carol skelton was brought back, that is what I do know. All of them happened with Bob Columbus as chair of select board. And Mr. Columbus refused to answer questions about these issues and many more. I think we are beginning to see why. Hopefully the minutes of a couple of executive session meetings will be released soon and more questions will be answered.

    1. Jeff, don't loose the addresses of those government agencies, or the reporters who do the investigating of wrong doing in government agencies. Gee, didn't Mrs. S. take the paperwork home in the past few weeks? The copies of the town warrant, You know, the ones we voted on! I sure know I can find something better to read at bedtime. You know, It will all come out in the wash, {might turn the sewer treatment plant water red.}
