  1. I say vote YES! This town should have voted the override in! Taxes are too low and we have barely anything to show for the taxes we pay! I've been to meetings and always vote in best interest! Tonight I feel the school can't cut their budget and they shouldn't! I can afford my taxes going up so nothing that can be said will change my mind! I've seen how disrespectful this group of reason has been and I choose to vote with non ignorant people!

    1. You should rename to: "For The Administrators"! You must be wealthy - glad you can afford the increase - do you own a home, land rent?? Just get laid off a few times - let's see you change your tune then!!! Or end up with big fat hospital bills! When an Assistant Principal of a middle school makes more money than the Police Chief/Fire Chief -- something is WRONG with the picture!

  2. Everyone has their sad sob story and as harsh as that sounds I do feel sad for those suffering, but allot are suffering for choices they have made! Life is all about choices! I'm not a politician for a reason! I don't say what people want to here I simply state how I feel and what my common sense says to me! The people of Templeton do not seem to want taxes to go up yet they also do not want stores in town. That's not how America works. Stores pay taxes to the town which takes the burden off the people! I own property in town and pay taxes. I make good money because I work hard and have made choices and sacrifices to get where I am today! I should not have to feel bad for my choices because others can't do better for themselves! I do plenty to help others with that being said and do not think we should persecute those who push forward work hard and want better! I've heard people say I didn't move to Templeton to pay high taxes. News flash we are one of the lowest rates! If you can't afford taxes you can't afford a house. That's a choice we all have to make! After all isn't that what section 8 and other subsidies are all about. Helping those who can't help themselves. It's not about racing to the bottom! As for the Administration, you get what you pay for and it's not the schools fault the town has been too cheap to pay its employees better. I like this town allot but there are a select few this town could surely do without. The blame game and the bullying needs to stop. Just a few of my personal thought!

    1. You say "the bullying needs to stop" yet you call your neighbors ignorant. Please, just think on your thoughts for an extra second before expressing them. I know you probably don't want to be mean. I just want to point out that what you do and what you say contradict each other.

  4. Supt sec sal 65,338.00 secretary + benefits this is more than the fire chief, highway super, town administrator, and many more. Why? The school supers secretary. makes over double what other secretaries make? The schools sure have saved allot on paint on the Templeton center school. Let it fall apart and we will be stuck with another problem. I personally volunteered my time to paint. Problem with that was if it looks too good we'll have to stay and won't get a new school built. We may need to paint it after all if the budget can't get leveled out,the money won't be there for the new school. The school Budget will eat up the money before we get it "FROM THE PEOPLE IN TEMPLETON"
