  1. I thought it important i post this as when we give up and stay home asking no question we are all losing everything so many stood up for.
To say i can't make a difference is a cop out. It's easy to stay home and complain after the shit hits the fan things stink for Templeton. People say you get the government you don't go vote for or deserve if you didn't vote.
When Pauly would see things and point it out people listened and stood up to take notice. Why do we see the same things happening again? Look at the annual town meeting turn out! Look at the voters that turned out in the last election.
Did the Election process get influenced by You know Who?
Does it seem to be odd we need to pay and pay again and again for a process we have done for years in Templeton.
Do we now pay for the process to take place and have a set way to do it?
Can we get pay checks without double deductions for health premiums?
Do we have help like we have been told can do the jobs. After all we are paying the premium wages now after the generous increases in the town offices.
Who takes the blame when the end goals are missed.
How much does it cost for our town to learn things over and over again?
Still, Templeton needs much change to happen.
    Get up and help!
The sound of silence will make you deaf "Templeton"

    1. That was beautiful, but more true than I care to admit. How to get the public to care enough is beyond me. I guess the people with enough money are willing to keep paying. The people with out the means will get left in the dust, forced to move somewhere else. The real problem is what do we have to show for our tax dollars ? Not much that I can see. Until things get bad enough to ignore, all we can do is keep trying to make people aware of what is going on in their community.

  3. The real problem is we have terrible communication regarding meetings, town halls. We have an antique method of governing.
The biggest problem this town has had in the past 10 years is that the school employees numbers out way the town participants in elections.
I have to say, I hear it all the time since the "multi vote" when we voted NO 3 times and got overruled on a 4th vote!!!
I voted NO on excavator, so what happens, town uses $300k from Chapter 90 for excavator instead of roads.

Our town is a multimillion dollar entity and its being run like a lemonade stand!

  4. people voted no for a 250k worth of road fund also.
So we did 10 roads against their will?

    1. Something was pointed out to me yesterday, and I think I should pass it on. The vote on the excavator was to see if the tax payer would agree to a override to pay for it. They said no. I would guess the machine was needed, so it was bought with Chapter 90 funds. I think the excavator question got under people's skin, but as far as I can see we have bigger things to worry about than that. Only in Mexico do they have men digging a water line with a pick and a shovel. Some of the equipment Bud has is not much better than that. I would worry more about how the Town will make it through next year with no "found money", and when the budget we passed at the Annual Town Meeting implodes. That is worth harping about !!
