Open? Honest? Transparent? NOT!
This is getting very interesting. What could these legal invoices be hiding? Why are they not being released after numerous request?
This LETTER arrived in the mail today from the Public Records Division of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. I'm still looking for the legal invoices from town counsel from August 2016 to October 2016.
The Town has once again been ordered to provide me with a privilege log regarding the redactions and must specifically explain how the exemptions apply to each individual legal invoice that has been redacted...
Funny thing is once upon a time when I made similar requests, I got the entire unredacted legal invoice.
Now I know what the problem is, I should ask Kate Fulton for permission before I do anything.

Gee, the theory that Mr. Markel preached to the Office Staff that because they were the "superior department" they could do what they wanted, may not hold water. Imagine that ! It will all come out in the wash.
ReplyDeleteJulie, in my opinion, you do not have to ask anyone for permission to attend any meeting, any where. Who gave Ms. Fulton permission to sign her letter as the secretary of the Advisory Committee ? We did not vote on that. Why didn't she sign it as a citizen ? Bev.
