    1. No, 350+- voters are not Templeton. This election was such a waste of money and unnecessary that most in town decided to stay home.

  3. I have written a few times tonight on various posts about all the bickering and childish, ridiculous comments that have been on this blog recently, but I cannot resist to write one myself, so.... "huff n puff" i'm assuming is a screen name picked from the three little pigs story.... they huffed and puffed until they blew the town down; or is it because you huff and puff?

and to "Do is STUPID", you are right, not a good turn out for voting tonight, wasteful spending again. Was it really necessary to have an election for a 4 month term? only advantage to this election is that Diane will get a chance to see if this is what she really wants and is up for the challenge so when the next election is held, she can either run again or not and the tax payers will be able to give her a chance to prove that she not just there to support the schools but is there for the town.

  4. Mike C. Thank you for the pat on the back! I truely don't feel that i have wasted my time. Just last night i was able to get thecommission and general Mgr. to tell us on tape the Town of Templeton does not own the Light and Water dept. When you look at the financial reports on the L+W website it is stated by the audit report the on pg 21 #8 The light plant is owned by the Town of Templeton .they also charge the town 1/3 of a million for electric power cost. Increased the rent to water dept. and now call it a lease but won't collect it till they can get up enough money then will take it all. Far cry from we don't charge rent like we have been told time and time again. I guess when i asked if the water dept owes the light any money the GM was confused as usual as to how to answer!
The questions i ask are to draw out the lies and record the people so as to keep my ability to put LTE in the paper and be able to show them proof of content. Over and over i have asked the questions and can prove a patern of issues with the answers we get.
The thing we have in the forfront is the solar farm on Farnsworth rd and how we were just told we had only 1 mw of power left in our power portfolio to add this type of input to the system. Now we are looking to add 3.7 mw farm and are kept in the dark about the details and not talked about at L+W meetings. When i start asking Questions about law compliance the meeting is quickly adjourn. The recordings speak for them and the way the chairman runs the meetings.
The fact is Templeton does own the L+W dept and are also on the hook for the actions.

  5. Truth, you get around if you have copy of DOR letter from Gerald Perry. Under c164, light plants are not separate legal entities and need approval of their municipalities legislative bodies (town meeting) to borrow. Perhaps that is why Templeton light uses Templeton fed tax ID number so if light said they are not owned by the town, they might be wrong. Since this is an opinion from director of accounts, Gerald Perry and not a true legal opinion from say the attorney general. "it seems to us inconsistent with the purpose of placing the water operation under the management and control of light department to interpret enterprise fund as other than a separate account for services provided to the public sector on a user charge basis. That is the cold hard truth

  6. Now all of a suden the States word is gospel?
When the DOR report came in 2009 they were told to go away.
Now when the States says what you like it's ok!!
What i see in the L+W reports show the truth of the matter. As a matter of fact if you look in the chapter 164 MGL there is a section on the sale of the Light Department if the town would like to do so.
Did the letter say anything about that.
When i ask Questions they have a reason to be asked to clarify things,or to see if the answers have changed. They do change and with the recordings that i can now prove. There is a reason the L+W meetings do not have public broadcasting. That reason is fear of the truth getting out!
Why is the wind turbine only at 25% output capacity? Is it put in the wrong place and never will have optimum output!
Did the L+W lump the wind output together with the brodie mtn. farm to hide the fact the turbine in Templeton is a flop. Has far less output than needed to pay for it or was the plan all along just do it!

  7. Deb not sure if you come back and check old blogs but if you do here some info you made up! Everything the DOR looked at is in compliance! Misstruths are made to sound good by you,you have all day to spin it. Fact is the BOS asked to have a ruling on the budget issue on the chapter law to follow and they did. The review of the L+W procedures has yet to happen and will likely be comming soon. The fact of other violations and other shortfalls in revenue to the towns PILOTS are just the thing to be reviewed and will have a proper formula for the L+W new managemnet to follow. When the proper amounts are paid to the town as they are by like size plants we will all see how poor the management has done. There are all kinds of violations that have been going on and never called out but the spotlight is on now and when the shadows get lit up we will all see the TRUTH!
The DOR is correct and i would say the rates support a pilot payment for the value of the plant. Time to assess the value and formulate a formula. After all, all others pay their fair share. The L+W Commissioners and GM think the Town of Templeton does not own the L+W.As stated at the last meeting. They L+W Commission and GM own the Budget but thats it. They will need to ask to borrow and when they do Templeton will sink deeper in the hole they have us in now.In the reports from their auditorsit states the L+W plant is owned by the Town of Tempelton. Pg 21 #8. I'm sure the Auditors know the real TRUTHS! If the town does not own the L+W plant how much was paid to have ownership transfered?
    Please just the truth!!!
