  1. I absolutely agree with the last paragraph regarding our present situation. Carter is not vested by any means to this town or its future. He's a "fill-in" and should not fundamentally change the way in which the town operates and our Board shouldn't allow.

  3. I too applaud the great work Mr. Mayo has done over the years this fiscal mess has nothing to do with him. So how did we get to where we are now, without a pot to piss in? It is my opinion the bad decisions that effected the town were good decisions when it came to family and friends. Many of these family and friends are still active when it comes to town government, Mr. Columbus comes to mind and his friends the Echo Hill gang, our town "leaders." Like events on 9/11/01 where many have come to believe elements within our government were responsible our town fiscal problems still have many of the same characters working on problems that they help create. It would seem illogical to create a DPW and leave out the Sewer Department and Water Department as most other city and town DPW's include these departments. Will the neutral observer who has been talked about be able to bring to the table a scenario that actually might make sense? Is this the time to by-pass town meeting by the Board of Selectmen and get funding through Special Legislation for the Police Station and School?

  4. GEE, I think part of the current problems have a LOT to do with Sean Hamilton personally in the way he was promoted and had influence in screwing the towns people over, again and again via his position and kiss assing.

  6. In my opinion Bud has done a great job as well with what he has had to work with at the Highway Department. Hats off to all the guys in Cemetery and Highway and other town workers who have not had the benefits of friends and family.

    1. If a builder built you a house, and because he is a 6'6" tall person, all of the kitchen cabinets' were out of your reach because you were only 4'9" tall, how would that work out for you ? Why is Carter trying to push a plan that someone else will have to follow ? Yes, it is true the Town does not have the funds to get to May, but there are other options to get the Town through this, without undermining the departments that have worked well. It is time for the Selectmen to look at other options. Options that will not create more problems than it will solve.

  7. From the start of this LTE there are three problems
    1 the writer
    2 the false content
    3 the source
This is a typical ass kiss like the MMWEC Director get paid/overpaid to do.

  8. It is my opinion that the town has little money to survive because the Public Schools seem to have the lions share of the money. State money also goes into schooling so a great deal of cash and debt are used to what I would say create obedient workers. Is this where our schools are heading in America? Schools

I GUESS HE MUST HAVE BEEN TIRED FROM WRITING THE LTE.
NOT TO OFTEN HE GOES TO ANY MEETINGS UNLESS THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMEONE WHINING ABOUT PUPPETS FOR NO GOOD REASON.
