Pre-Town Meeting

Pre-Town Meeting

Last night the Advisory Committee held the pre-town meeting for the Special Town Meeting on November 14, 2017.

There are 16 articles on the warrant. All the articles were reviewed and most articles have a recommendation.

Before the pre-town meeting a request was voted to transfer $1,700 for the Emergency Reserve Fund to pay for 1 Vadar license and training to use Vadar system. This request was made by the Advisory Committee due to the change in how the Financial Team produces the Budget vs. Actual documents the Advisory Committee reviews to track town expenditures.

This change in procedure by the Financial Team was adopted in August 2017 at the start of the 2018 fiscal year. There was no indication during the budget discussions in developing the budget for FY '18 that this change in procedure would occur.

Click HERE for the latest version of the Budget v. Actual produced by the town accountant.

If you review this document, can you determine how much money is left in town fuel accounts?

Can you determine if the general insurance was paid in a lump sum?

Can you see how much money is remaining in the dispatcher's salary account?

Can you determine if the Fire/EMS salaries are funded as voted at the Annual Town Meeting?

To prepare for the Special Town Meeting on November 14, 2017, you may wish to review
