  1. I have the letter and will provide a copy for this blog so all residents can see the loyal and intelligent town employees we have who are not afraid to stand up for the place they live and or work for, there are employee who do not live in Templeton who signed, solidarity. Recall coming in August cause I ain't waitin for no term to be up, I know I always do not vote the way taxpayers may want or feel I should, but damn it, I try to respect them and listen to them. The three could at least try to put on a show as if they care and look like they are listening and more importantly, are hearing the people, but like most tyrants and regimes against the people, it is hard to change ya spots, especially when you lie to get in office. When I ran, I said I would work with any and all, even if I disagree with em, but I will not work with em if they are being deceitful and disrespectful to the very people they are suppose to be working for. I am still waiting on them to recall me as they said they were going to do!!!

  2. As per the "Public Participation at Board of Selectmen Meetings Rules of Order" (found on the Selectmens page on the town's website),

"7. Written comments may be presented to the Board before or after the meeting for the Board members' review and consideration at an appropriate time."

The key point of this section is "for the Board members' review" The Chair made it seem like HE would decide if the letter would be addressed at an appropriate time. In fact it is up ALL Board members as per their own rules.

Also, was the attempt to present this letter just before this meeting? And if so, did the Chair break his own rule by refusing to accept it?

  3. Wow! Unbelievable! I thought the BOS chairman was Mr. Columbus, not Ms. Wilder. Shouldn't he be the one conducting the meeting?

I would also like to thank all the Templeton town employees for doing your job so well during such difficult times and for such little pay. Thank you to those of you who made a statement to the BOS in support of a fellow employee who has brought professionalism and intelligence to the town offices. MANY citizens will stand side by side with you in support for Mr. Ritter as well. If the BOS ignore this outpouring of support, they will prove 100% that they are not working with the will of the people in mind but rather carrying out their own personal agenda which is ignorant and childish. The idea that bullying is still continuing and is actually increasing shows just how threatened they feel and how small minded they are. If they did not like how the previous BOS handled the firing of past coordinator, then why settle it "an eye for an eye" like cavemen? They should show they are above that and handle their business differently. I guess that is too much to expect with current BOS.

  4. To Pauly & all the good people trying to get justice in Templeton...When you get discouraged please just remember Bell, California!! See how Big the scandals & corruption got there before anybody had to answer for ripping the townspeople off!! Let's get the Bad people out of office before we become the next Bell, CA. Of course we will have long gone bankrupt by then probably!! Thank you again Pauly for your work & dedication. It will all come out, as it is starting to more & more each day!!... Please look up Bell, CA corruption & see just how far scumbags will go. The amazing thing is that they think they deserve what they are taking no matter how HUGE the salaries are. How OUTRAGEOUS is that!! We have the same here just a slightly smaller scale or is it?? Let's all keep looking!

  5. I believe once the document lands on the table, IT IS A PUBLIC DOCUMENT! As a public document it should be included with the minutes of the meeting FORTHWITH!

It is refreshing to see the town employees come together to support Jeff Ritter. Templeton has many hard working dedicated employees who deserve leadership better than "Team Columbus" can provide. Reminds me of an old parable about the Liar, the Thief and the Idiot.

  6. and speaking of public records can we get a copy of the legal bills for all these executive sessions - How much BS are we the taxpayers going to allow Columbus, Wilder and Mullins to put Mr Ritter through! I know Jeff Bennett is fighting - what about you - Chris Stewart - why have we not heard you speak up about what they are doing to Jeff Ritter - your silence is condoning their behavior. Did you ever speak up when Tammy was bullied? When will this stop -

  7. Monday, April 9, 2012, a document titled "Employee settlement agreement and release of all claims" with a sum of $14,000.00 less taxes is figure as severance. Of course within said document there is a little paragraph about no communication detrimental to the town or Mr. Ritter. Well I did not agree with or to this document, I did not nor will I sign such document and since the "town" is its people as in residents, taxpayers/voters, i believe it is detrimental to the town by keeping it from the very people who have to pay for it. This document has a small number on it on page 5 (448064/town/0002) that is the system on all documents from K&P so we all know this comes via Len Kopelman which equals team columbus/skelton. (my opinion there)It contains a clause concerning unemployment, however Mr. Ritter shall use reasonable efforts to secure employment. The state employment system will be supplied pictures, copies of any business license documents to demonstrate CS has been "employed" in self employment through her "antique/used furniture business" Perhaps this will be a violation of collecting unemployment compensation, if she were to be collecting, she had paperwork come through pertaining to same. It also has a thing about a public statement, so I guess this is it. Page 6 of town by-laws section 2 states that no settlement of a claim or suit obligating the town (taxpayers) in an amount in execess of one thousand dollars shall be made, except as authorized by law, without the consent of the town meeting. If I were a taxpayer I would be demanding answers from columbus, and you may need to go through virginia wilder to be allowed to address the chair, but I would be asking! Why does columbus, wilder & mullins feel they do not have to follow the by-laws or answer any questions from taxpayers. I guess when you are a scrapit man from winchendon, you don't have to follow the rules, maybe that is how they roll at the worcester DA's office. Look for documents coming to this blog.........

    1. Jeff, If I understand correctly, Mr. Ritter has received or will receive a settlement statement written by K&P that will pay him $14, 000. Within said document there is a text about “no communication detrimental to the town or Mr. Ritter”. The key word there is detrimental, in this context, a very subjective word. What is defined as detrimental to the town? Who decides what is detrimental to the town? I agree with you that, based on the bylaw you describe, that this settlement is detrimental to the town, and with tis settlement being over $1,000, it should go to Town meeting, or at a minimum discussed at a BOS meeting. Can you get something like this on a BOS meeting agenda?

It also seems that you are claiming that CS has been self employed through her "antique/used furniture business" and that she has business license documents in with the Town in order to operate said business, all the while, collecting unemployment. It is my understanding that a person on unemployment can make a income and collect as long as said income does not go over a certain threshold and is reported to the Unemployment agencies. With the “cash” business of hers it would be very easy to lie about how much is actually coming in. But we all know how trustworthy our past Town Coordinator is, don’t we. I hope for her sake that all her paperwork is accurate and up to date.

  8. Just so you folks know, on the budget to actual sheet, available for anyone to see, under the town coordinator salary account there is a figure amount of $18,584.99. This is as of April 4, 2012. When you subtract $14,000.00 from this you find we have $4,584.99 left, brilliant move by wilder columbus and mullins. Broke, little money and they give away $14 grand and get nothing in return. Hope dave whitaker has lots of overtime money!!! There is no money to pay anyone, even on interim basis. Hey Shaun Grimley as in affordable housing, there will be no money in budget for that position because taxpayers will vote not to fund non essential non core-service positions. we all have to chip in ya know. Elected town clerk, say good-bye to 10%, we all have to sacrifice ya know!! And Templeton1st kathy Matson, we may not have money for multiple librarians because we are going to have a democratically run selectboard, especially after we recall mullins and wilder. From the ashes, Templeton shall rebuild......

  9. If anyone deserves to have a lawsuit for Mental Distress and Harrassment it is Jeff Ritter against Columbus, Wilder, Mullins and L Kopelman!

  10. On another subject, columbus going to a sewer commissioners meeting and asking or suggesting that the sewer commissioners give the town 150 to 200 grand to the town out of sewer accounts. What I think should be done is for the sewer commissioners to vote that is the chair thinks this money can be taken or moved from sewer to the town legally, the selectboard should put forth an article for town meeting, moving that money from sewer to the general fund. Lets find out if it is legal to tax people twice. You get a tax bill on property which you are told is for paying for town services. You get a sewer bill which you are told is for sewer service, but if you take that money from sewer and put it into the general fund, are you taxing sewer users twice? Are sewer customers being lied to? How many times can you spend a dollar? Why should sewer customers have to back up incompetent board of selectmen? My opinion is sewer commissioners should tell selectmen and town accountant to run an honest, open and financially sound business

  13. A letter to USDA dated April 9, 2012, signed by bob columbus stateing that I, robert columbus will be Templton's specific point of contact for this project, town hall facility. I swear columbus said the selectmen would talk about this and vote on it on Thursday, April 12, 2012. I wonder if this is that undemocractic run select board and mishandling of town finance referred to on templeton1st web site that supports columbus and matson? Sounds like columbus took lessons from skelton on how to be dictator as a selectmen. also on this letter is the figure of estimated cost of this project is 1.8 million ($1,800,000.00) what happened to the 1.9 million? This group is out of control just like the elementary school building committee is. Unfortunately for that project, Ruth Miller has been put in a no win situation because she is not really in control but she is trying to deal with a mess handed her which is a no win for anyone. We will try to get this straightened out on May 7, 2012. Apparently jerry skelton no longer publicly speaks for the muni bldg project, he just pulls the strings. (my opinion) Most of you people who signed on for the recall, you have been had!!!! (my opinion) What do you plan on doing about it?

  14. Apparently, columbus thinks he as chairman of selectmen, he runs this town. A letter dated April 5, 2012 to roseli weiss. "I received your letter of march 21st regarding the scheduling and use of NRHS facilities for public meetings. let me assure you that police details attend every meeting at school facilities and that police cheif whitaker has lectured the audience that they must be respectful and use proper language or they will be removed from the meeting. o to the cheif, have you lectured your officers that if they stop another police officer who is drunk, they are to arrest him and not call a wrecker to tow him home, thus avoiding criminnal charges? That is a question too, has this happened or is it happening?? Back to the superindent weiss, she feels she needs to be contacted directly rather than contacting the facilities director to reserve use of the school. Templeton owns 82% of the school and we pay for a facilities director and he is not capapble of making these arrangements, so my question is why have one if you do not allow him to do is job? My first impression of this letter is it is communication between two dictators, you don't come in without my permission and the other saying that is how it will be. My opinion is that is how we got in this whole mess to begin with. Little or no public oversight, to many things done without discussion in public.

  15. Is June here yet? Mrs.Weiss should take the rest of her time off. She must have alot of vacation time. She has Ruth Miller dealing with the mess the school comm started. Kirk was right, Putmans house and land would be good. Who was the guy in the suit in the back corner of the room? I suppose we paid another KP guy to take up space and write all the motions so the bos does not screw up again FORTHWITH.I really feel sick about Mr.Ritter. This is so dam unfair. We have lost a man that could have helped us out of the dark, and back into the light.I am really very angry about JS and the law office of KP running our town. JS does not even have the balls to come to the meeting. This has to come to a end. KP's involvment in this way can,t be legal. Kirk Moschetti was right. We can not allow KP to start cleaning up the legal problems the bank has on Bald.Rd. You know the old saying," The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall."

  16. Good call on all said Bev!! Yes, JS & cronies have been running this town for far too long & unfortunately got a strong foothold & grabbed most of our money. They can't stand the fact that we are trying rightfully, justifiably to break this stronghold. He & his pack of lying thieves doesn't like it. I am sure they are scheming somewhere as usual. Just because he doesn't show up at the town meetings doesn't mean he is not having meetings of his own possibly even outside of what is the name of that hill? Does anybody hear an echo? LOL ... Yep, they think they are Big now but as you say man when they fall is it going to be Hard. Not Hard enough or soon enough for me & I'm sure a whole bunch of others who have been trampled over by them feel the same way....Oh yah & CS with her poor me stories, a cry, then a smile, then a stab, then an oh my I would never hurt anyone, why are all these people doing this to me when I have been so good to everyone? Oh boohoo, I have been so wronged. Isn't it Amazing how when people can do all these deceitful manipulative things to others they think it is okay But, when they perceive (perceive being the key word) that someone is doing the same stuff to them then it's a different story. Maybe she does have multiple personality disorder?? I am sure if that were the case then her lawyers, as welled oiled as they are, could even figure out a way to pin that one on the town of Templeton!! All my opinions once again for fear of a lawsuit. Just thoughts & opinions. No actual names have been used to protect the truly innocent. Need this disclaimer because this is really becoming one of the best selling novels or should I say true stories of the decade, soon to be released in movie format. Too bad we can't actually do that. This might be the only way to get us out of debt!! Shall we begin the printed saga FORTHWITH? I think this has become the word of the century, thanks to the wilder side, if you get my drift..LOL ...Pauly should have sole production rights, I say.

    1. Oh yes, & I also agree that Ms W on vacation is another one who has got to go. Costing us way more money than she is worth or has she already decided to leave after being the dictator of the schools? Remember in the Gardner snooze when she scolded all us local yokels who just don't have the "EDGEKASHUN" (lol) she has & told us the situation with getting a new elementary school is no joke. Well Yah, helloooo, we know that, duh. However, there is this small matter of all us "backwoods farmers", who she expects to foot the bill, with the average yearly take home pay of only $23,000 per year, (in the DOR report) not a Padded six figure income like she has. I say why doesn't she build it!! In case she doesn't know what DOR is with all her learning, it's Dept. of Revenue. And that's not moonshine revenuers, that's the actual real thing, ya know where all dem dere tax stuff & things go. LOL We have to try to laugh here sometimes or we would be crying all the time knowing the truly dire situation we are in. Oh well, enough said for now. All my opinions, just blogging along.
