  1. I'll grab my popcorn and an unfluoridated drink, thank you!

  2. Thank you Julie for this information. I did not realize that the head toxicologist for the EPA believes that fluoride is both carcinogenic and mutagenic, scary stuff. Why would our government not want us to know this information?

  3. I have read Mr. Bennet's well composed article concerning the Citizen's petition regarding the L&W" and will now not feel guilty having watched Fluorigate. Thank you Julie for keeping this topic in front of us voters. There was truly some disturbing information contained in this video, especially how the black and hispanic communities are disproportionately effected.

  4. Some people may feel it is premature to bring this information forward at this point in time. I wanted people to know that the documentary Fluoridegate will be broadcast on local access cable; I have no idea how long it will be available on Channel 8.

I obtained copyright permission from the producer of the documentary and sent it along to TCTV. I was not sure how long it would take, or IF it would be Broadcast on Channel 8. I thank our cable commission for broadcasting this documentary.

There will be two citizen petitions about water fluoridation at the ATM in May. I have signed both of them.

Water fluoridation was not the primary reason I signed the light and water citizen petition, but there are some similar themes playing out with this issue as well. The lack of transparency on the part of the GM when I made a public record request for the fluoride MSDS. The back channel e-mail between the BOH and TMLWP GM last year ( see Interesting Reading on the C4T website:http://www.citizens4templeton.com/Important_Documents.html)

For many years I labored under the mis(dis)information that water fluoridation was a beneficial practice. I was told it was a wonderful way to prevent dental caries in children. I didn't do any research, because why would so many government entities be spreading lies? After much prompting from my husband (ok, badgering), I did my own research. I have read a few books and reviewed a number of documentaries. I have now reached a very different conclusion.

I believe the practice of water fluoridation is HARMFUL. Once I am aware of a HARMFUL practice, I believe it is my duty and responsibility to try to end that practice. I believe it my duty and responsibility whether I am an elected official or not.

I put information out on this blog for people to review and come to their own conclusions. Closer to the ATM, I will have more information on the policy of water fluoridation. If enough people reach the same conclusion, we CAN put an end to this HARMFUL practice.

  5. Addendum -

I made the fluoride MSDS request while I was serving as a commissioner. I had to make the public record request because the GM would not comply with my request as a commissioner.

  6. This video made me very angry at those who would put profit ahead of the health of our children. Shame on them. Shame on us.

  7. To fire the head toxicologist of the EPA for doing his job is mind boggleing. After watching this video with my wife, she raised a good question; can the Board of Health call for an end to this fluoride in our water because of health concerns?

  8. The Board of health lead the efforts against the petition if i recall. They aligned those in support of the use of it. Along with the dental pros. And don't forget the general manager said he wouldn't take it out even if we voted to remove it anyway. Start the interviews!

  9. What sound does a guinea pig make? I have had this drug in my water since 1951 this issue is starting to depress me. Could be the fluoride.
