  1. Thanks for NOTHING, nothing to show except for the waste the taxpayer’s money. You should be pissed off. Do you realize that the Echo Hill Gang has cost the town HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of DOLLARS of YOUR money with NOTHING to show for it. Well unless you want to count a building that we will be lucky to get half of what we (they) invested ($700,000) in it back when we try to sell it to someone. Now we are left to pay for it for the next 5 years under the levy limit. What does this mean? Well, services will have to be cut. People will have to lose their jobs. And next year, your taxes will have to go up just to keep the doors of this town government open. Thanks guys! These idiots pushed through this boondoggle when they knew no one was looking, granted it was at a Town meeting, but who knew then that we needed to watch these A—holes so closely. Want a new school? Well good luck with that. Foreclosures are still rising in town = less $ for anything. This bunch has screwed the town royally. Not only did they spend frivolously on a buddies (and neighbor’s) property, they are continuing to waste. Was $10,000 spent on the Templeton Center improvement committee? How you ask? Well they took the hard work of the Planning Board (in the form of an report), gave it to a firm who turned around, put their name on it and accepted the payday. Who is in who’s pocket? These M-F-ers are not your dear friends. They could give a rat’s ass about you. How deep does it go? Why was the 2009 DOR report rejected by these people? This report would have taken the town into financial health. So why would these STUPID people reject this idea and plan? It is a road map that anyone could follow. It can’t be that they wanted to ruin the town, can it? Care to go deeper? How about the American Tissue botch job. MILLIONS, yes MILLIONS are owed to the town but Echo Hill let K&P and American Tissue off the hook. If you are not outraged, then you are not paying attention and you deserve what you get, which is no school, no new Town Hall, no Police station, crappy Highway dept. and Fire dept. equipment. Just my opinions, take them or not. Now, track down the citizens petition, sign it and maybe there will be recourse at some point. But for the moment – buckle up, its going to be a bumpy ride.

    2. I have signed the petition. I agree that there needs to be an investigation (like you can’t tell). The money grab done by the Skeltons is shameful. I can’t figure out why others have supported them for so long. It has to be that they paid people off in one way or another. No one could hang in with them unless they were paid off. Well maybe if you were stupid. Listen, bullies need underlings that are just glad that they are not the one being bullied, and think that they can feed of the big shark. Hey its cool to be with the in-crowd, but to what expense? Your morality, being hurtful to others, putting THOUSANDS of people at risk? That’s what they did, and probably will do again. Elections are coming, and how many more years does Carol need to get full retirement? Look out Templeton – the snakes are waiting in the grass. Just my opinions, like them or not.

    3. Hey Phil, Take a chill pill. You seem awfully riled up. Yes, the town has been wronged and now left to deal with the aftermath. Only by coming together, being informed and calmly overcoming the situation will the town come out the other side. There are some positive steps being taken now by some officials. The reckless spending has been forced to stop. Times are going to be tough, taxes will have to rise, services will have to dwindle, but the move is at hand towards a better Templeton. Keep up the passion, channel it by coming to meetings, asking questions, and help keep the town on the right foot. I am glad to hear that you have signed the petition, I have as well. We as a town can not move backward and we need to know how far backward it went as to never let it happen again.

    1. What I would like to know is this...this report was REQUESTED by the town in 2009. The state took the time to come here and make this report. Why has the BOS REFUSED to accept and implement the suggestions in this report? Its 2012 and the BOS STILL has not addressed this report? I have been paying attention to town politics for several years now and I am so fed up with the lack of proper leadership and accountability in this town. No wonder its hard to get people to care about how their taxes are used and how their town is governed! Once you start paying attention, you end up going crazy with the nonsense that occurs to the point that you just throw your hands up in the air and say screw this. This DOR report came up at the meeting last night and the Chair couldn't get off the subject fast enough. No motion was made to even revisit the report. The only discussion was who was on the BOS when it was received. Really? Every suggestion is a reasonable and valid suggestion. The Advisory Board has spent months independently coming up with the same suggestions. So, will the BOS address these suggestions better from the Advisory Board? Only time will tell. I can tell you one thing, it will take months of BS discussion before they decide to do anything. And because of this type of lack of leadership don't expect any new municipal projects or repaired roads anytime soon. Because it will take implementing some of these suggestions in order to get anything done in town.

Now, I must say, Julie Farrell has been trying to point out this report and its suggestions for years. But because she was in the minority (up against GA, BC, DO, CS) all her efforts were stunted. I hope people in town that may not have a favorable view of her will now realize she has been right all along. And here are the FACTS to back it up. So, maybe these people will change their view and look to support her and her ideas better. She and Jeff Bennett are very smart and truly are looking out for the citizens of this town. I hope more people will give a sh** about their money and their town a little more in the coming months. This is serious stuff and I really hope people will take it upon themselves to be part of the solution by paying attention.

    2. Thank goodness, people are starting to see the light. The light has been on all the time, but someone kept pulling the shade down!!! Did anyone expect Gerry and company, were going to accept the DOR Report, when it said every thing they were doing was against the good of the town? Yah, like that was going to happen. Julie and Pete were the victums of Templetons' own witch hunt. All of this time they were right. Gerry lined up K&P, who did not want anyone to know what they did,{sewer treatment plant screw up},Gladys was gone,{the voice of reason} had the news paper in his pocket. He paid the light co. workers, very well,{bought loyalty}, and he some how, conned the majority of the Lions Club members into thinking he was Templeton's ultimate leader. Do you think he was going to give up any of this power, and let anyone know he was screwing with them all!?There are too many people who have thrown in the towel, sick of fighting the fight, to get their town back. We need their help. I am going to talk to them, this is our chance to reclaim, the good town that is ours. It is going to be broke, it is going to be bloody, but it is ours. "The right to know", those are powerful words, Without a news paper that informs the public, gives a person in charge the power, to do what he wants. If we did not have this blog Pauly started, can you imagine what kind of a mess we would be right now? We, the Citizens 4 Templeton need to start a news letter. There are still too many people who do not know what is going on. Last night Chris said, "stop reading the blog"! It is really hard to figure out where he stands. Yoo bad for him, this blog will go on, as long as we need it. My opinion, Bev.
