Stop thief

Every year some lowlife goes around town stealing or just removing political signs from tax payers properties, throwing them in the woods or just hiding them,  after political signs has been on the taxpayer's property three or four days and then it's gone. Did the landowner not wanted it on the property? Or did some worried moron decide to remove these signs on his own? To help his choice for the position. I know who did it last year because some people like to brag especially if they've had a few beers. You never know who's listening, pretty good, huh? So watch out lowlifes if the sign isn’t yours, keep your hands off. Or maybe it's just that you like me so much for selectmen you decided to take my signs for keepsakes, Hee-Hee-Hee.

  1. Is it true that the only candidate who is not missing signs is Mr. Skelton? Why isn't anyone stealing his signs?

    1. I beg to differ I had a Skelton sign on my front yard and it seemed to grow legs and walk away, I think that paulys clan is trying to play another political tactic saying skeletons crew are making the other signs disappear, I have one issue with. That carol and Gerry have to much class to go around stealing signs pauly and Julie and friends could only hope to have as much class as Gerry and carol hell the only way they would ever remotely have that kind of class is if they were a pimple on Gerry a-s. good luck on Election Day everyone. News flash two Sundays ago white Chevy pup with repair plate seen running over Skelton signs in otter river wonder who that could be?

    2. Do you have that on video? Of course you do not.
Carol and Gerry have too much savvy to steal signs themselves, they let the lemmings do that.
Thanks for the good luck wishes, although unnecessary. The way you are posting sure shows some weak knees from the Skelton crew.

Hey anonymous April 18 8:31pm I know you were referring to me, and I do not have a chevy pickup and you would not have seen me running back and forth over a Skelton sign. And you better smartin up because you have been exposed and don’t follow me so close. Boy what a looser you are. Is this the best you can do making stuff up about me and posting it anonymously? Did your mother wear a skirt or a dress? Just wondering where you have been hiding all these years. So exactly who were you watching on late night TV?

  6. I have in the past removed political signs as well as yard sale signs that have been placed on my property without permission. I will continue to do so. If I am asked, I always allow them. You will currently see 3 political signs on my property. The candidates asked if they could place them there.

    1. Years ago when we were having our problems with Hutchies Dump, Gladys decided to run for selectman. Believe it or not, she was the first candidate to put up signs, and even campaign. Things sure have changed, haven't they. Well a lot of her signs had vanished. I found them in the ditch on Cook Road. We washed them off, and put them up again. It is not funny these days, because they cost money. If you don't want a sign on your property, call and tell the candidate so, yes they should have asked in the first place, and they should take them down the night of the election, or the next morning. Bev.

  7. I remember signs being stolen and knocked over last year so, I made sure that the signs on my lawn were far enough up on my property that a person standing on the street couldn't reach out and grab them. Anyone that tries to take my signs will have to trespass on my property. My surveillance cameras will catch anyone that tries any funny business. So, lets just see what happens over the next two weeks. All eyes and ears open.

Must be the crew from Germany thought the metal in the old oil was not a problem or was it a, just run it and get what you can out of it. Repairs to gearbox may not be able to be done unless removed from the turet!
We should all know whats up with our 4 million dollar investment. One would think the new web site we pushed to get would be full of information and explain what was wrong with it. Why don't you explain it to us. When the bearings went bad in the generator, why did they let it sit stationary for so long without turning it slowly?Did that do any damage? Why do you keep refering this stuff to god/religion when you have to post.I don't know everything about it and admit it is a very complex machine. I've asked questions of the people in charge of it and the answers were less than what i would expect for them to be. Simple engineering dynamics. The facts point to conditions and it doesn't take multipal tests till you get to the bottom line.JUST RUN IT!
What about this, have the boss Driscoll put on the web site a copy of the report and read it ourself.Call on God to have the explanation given and bless it too!
On a good day 1 in 10 gearbox type turbines will fail in 10 years. Cost over 1/2 million to fix and thats the GE good type,at brodie mountain "MMWEC info" they have 10 turbines.I don't know everything about it "our turbine" But i'm positive i know more than you do.Lets have coffee and I'll prove it!
1 Thing that struck me as no surprise was when i heard that sean screwed over our commissioner over the purchase of it.
Funny he's a MMWEC director now, whats that pay these days?
Theres more to this story than a big fan,it's the shit that has hit it. My hands would never be put on it anyway. Does stewarts,or blaise? The people in charge of it get the big bucks in town and are and will be held responsible for the safe operation of it.For now its in their hands, thats for them to have the kowledge to keep up on, modify it for safety and get out of the way if they don't know about it.
That is what has happened in the last 3 months. They should have called in the last people in first. But that was only a 75,000.00 mistake. Thats probably a low guess!
Let us see if Driscoll puts up some more fun facts on the web site go to TMLWP and see!
If elected i will push for more information and "active" input on the web site to answer the peoples questions.
Hell maybe even post another blog or two.

    1. So the half truths continue…
FYI – It was the manager, Mr Driscoll that chose to spend rate payers hard earned cash on a legal opinion prior to the citizen’s petition was even voted on. So if you are upset about that money being spent go to the L&W and complain there. He, in no way, needed to spend that money. If the petition was voted down (which it was), then there would have been no need to spend a thing (which there wasn’t). So the only one that made out was the lawyers, sound familiar? But you know all that don’t you. You are so clever over there, lying and trying to get people to see what is not there. Swing and a miss – try again.

    2. can we leave the dogs out of this, I happen to think Rottys are great dogs. So it was one person who decided to spend taxpayer money on something, so nw I think it is time fr the selectmen to do their job and according to MGL, summon Mr. Driscoll before the BOS and bring that paper work with you and explain your business doings Mr. Driscoll such as spending 10 grand on a citizens petition My questin for the light comm is where the hell were you when this was going on?

      Delete
    3. Hey Jeff, If you haven’t yet, you gotta watch the BOS meeting where L&W commissioner Blais stated his support of Driscoll’s action getting the lawyers involved way before they were needed, and now the majority of your Board don’t even want to know what the lawyers had to say or let the people that paid for it even see it. Must not have been good news is my guess.

I'll be writing a blog on light and water in a week or so. Dave Smart didn't cost the town $10,000...neither did I.

Didn't you get the memo...light and water isn't part of the town. They just raise your rates to cover shortfalls whether it is light or water. Neither Dave nor I could authorize a $10,000 expenditure for light and water with nothing to show for it...

But you know that Dana! Hope you are having a good vacation.

  14. As for sign stealing, expect it, when I ran, I bought 100 signs at $2.50 per sign delivered to my door. I put oout many signs but kept some for the expected loss, I had 10 removed by someone other than myself. I made some signs out of plywood, paint and stencils, all of which I still have. Unfornutately, it is part of the game these days and unless you catch them redhanded, not much to do but replace them. This election is much to important to spend much time on a sign issue, way more important things for the long term. And if everyone gets distracted by the sign issue, the important ones slide on by.

    ReplyDelete
  15. So three important issues that no one seems to be talking about, (1) selectmen failing to do their duty by having light manager come before the selectmen to explain his business doings like spending 10 grand on citizens petition, how about it Virginia? (2) A sewer commissioner whos father is hired to do sewer work. (3) selectmen candidate who presently does business with the town and whos son does business with the town (towing) if elected, will this candidate be able to continue to do business with the town (ethics) will and should his son be able to continue to do business with the town, police called tows, tow town vehicles again, ethics. These rathan sign issues are the important things people should be talking about and considering, in my opinion.

  20. Mr. Bennett,

As always you raise important issues about conflict of interest issues with candidates. Conflict of interest and appearance of conflict of interest laws are online at mass.gov ..type in "Ethics" and away you go.

It is always a good idea to contact Ethics for a free opinion, if situations occur like the ones you outlined above at 10:13. The opinions don't cost the town a dime and provide guidance for the person involved :

    http://www.mass.gov/ethics/

    OR

    Call the "Attorney-of-the-Day" (617) 371-9500/(888) 485-4766

The Attorney-of-the-Day generally will return your call within 1 business day.

As Pauly says "Get it in writing"! File a notice of disclosure with the town clerk and you are good to go! Written opinions take a longer than a day to obtain.

Conflict on interest and appearance of conflict of interest are laws of the Commonwealth. If you live a small town and have a large family, you are bound to run into some conflict of interest issues. It is always best to check first with Ethics.

Be SMART ! Check out the facts!

  21. For JD and the L&W dept to spend $10000 for a legal opinion on a citizens petition was ridiculous. TM articles like that if passed have to go to the Attorney General's Office (free) to make sure they are legal. Is the sewer Dept going to spend $10000. on VW's petition? I doubt it,

    ReplyDelete
  22. When one considers the scope of subjects that the Light department spent money on, it is hard not to think they, the light commissioners were more concerned with holding onto their power than what was actually the basis of the citizens petition, the perceived or actual lack of communication from the light comm to the residents of Templeton. It looks as if the commissioners chose to look at every way possible they could use to maintain control rather than take the approach of what dialog is required to settle the dust and settle the differences between the commission and residents, perhaps it was easier to spend their money than to talk with them?

    1. I think you are right, Jeff. Fear is a motivator. The troubling thing is that, as a MUNICPAL dept., their fear just cost me money that could have been spent more wisely. But it is all thought of as just a big bucket of money with no ties to the people they were elected to watch out for. Try as they might to hold on, they are losing their grip or have lost their grip on reality.

      Delete
  23. It does seem like a lot of money. But you cannot blame them for trying to protect a town dept. Why does the BOS use lawyers? To protect themselves and the town? Why do we even need a town attorney? We have the lawyer of the day and Mr. Ritter.

Out of respect for all the pain and suffering so many of us have had to endure, how about we try to be kinder to one another and remember that we are all on the same team. 31. It would be wise for all candidates to check with Ethics for a written determination regarding conflict of interest and appearance of conflict of interest.

It's not that hard to do. This would be a greg question to ask all of the candidates:

Mr Smart have you called ethics for a determination about conflict of interest because you are a town employee?

Mr. Moschetti have you called Ethics for a determination about conflict of interest because your son is a sewer commissioner, another son serves on the planning board with you?

Mr. Morrison, have you called Ethics for a determination because your wife is a town employee?

Mr. Cosentino, have you contacted ethics for a determination because your son's business provides towing for the town?

Mr. Skelton, have you contacted ethics for a determination on conflict of interest because your wife has an active lawsuit against the town?

Mr Robinson...I can't think of a reason you might have a conflict of interest, but I didn't want you to feel left out.

  32. My opinion is we have just had one of the biggest conflicts of interest happen when a selectmen who is also a light commissioner voted to not ask for something that as a light commissione he may have voted forspending of 10 grand on the governance of Templeton. Wonder what the material read for it to be hush hush. At least if Mr. Smart were to be elected as light comm, that issue would not raise its head again which is all the more reason to pass by-law that selectmen cannot serve on anyother board or committee. Actually, other than being trustees on some things, selectmen themselves could simply agree for the better of the town, we will only serve on one board, the BOS, after all if selectmen wish to know what is going on with other boards, commissioners and committees, just go to the meetings and take part. Now lets see it is about 22:30 (10:30 pm) Saturday evening in Templeton and it is 07:00 Sunday here in the stan so I hope no one has an issue with me blogging at this time of day. take care Templeton and please remember to vote.

Commissioners say this and i listen, I don't make it up.
I just believe what i hear them say. I will report to the people of Templeton the good and the bad.
The question i want answered most now is who made the call to shut down the turbine for 3 months while they decided to believe or not to believe reports they wanted done. How much have we spent looking for something we would normaly have found in the oil? Any metal drive system has metalic wear. The magnet in the drain plug shows that. Some is normal and if larger particals get into bearings that cause additional problems. I'm sure that the report will show us all the reasoning behind the production loss and loss of money. Or at least they will know the next time what to look for and make a better call. Did we get the 35,000.00 oil change done on it yet? The Portsmouth turbine only had 21,000 hrs. on it and was a design life of 20 years.Depending upon future gearbox reliability, the cost of one or more replacements may exceed the potential future profit for the life of the turbine. It was not looked at as good as it should have been. Now we are stuck with it,and the neighborhood with the sounds it will make. Is that fair for them? What if it was in your back yard!
Driscoll or Hamilton wouldn't.We still don't know the true cost of it. Driscoll has siad at a meeting he would need to get with the people involved with the audit to make sure it comes out in line with the numbers they need it to! We'll see what gets left out!
