    1. thanks, i'll stop by and pick some up. we knew that they would be trying to get Carol S. back, that was the whole reason behind the"recall", they (select few) were all just upset over her termination, no other reason.

  3. awesome newsletter...i do have a question since the building committee didn't go for an override to fund this whole project how much money are they legally able to spend toward that building , like operating cost and loan payment ?? if they spend more money than the rent and operating cost of there office now and town clerks office are they breaking the law becouse they didn't go for an override ?

  4. The building committee was authorized to expend 1.98 million . The BOS have allowed short term borrowing for this amount. The Building committee has expended about $550,000 so far...after the bids come back all bets are off. The building committee is trying to expend as much $$ as possible in order to compel the taxpayers to keep expending money on this boondoggle. If the building committee expends more than was voted at town meeting, the 1.98 million, then they are breaking the law. That is why they will keep on asking for an override. The original scheme was to pay back the 1.98 million with a 40 year loan from the USDA at 4.25 % ....for 40 years!!! All of this was organized by Jerry Skelton with the help of his wife, the former town coordinator. The former town coordinator DELIBERATELY kept the USDA loan information from the BOS. BECAUSE her husband had NO authorization to borrow money for this project or any other project. Her husband was NOT a member of the BOS at the time of the USDA loan application. ANOTHER SKELTON SCAM.

    1. quoting: "BECAUSE her husband had NO authorization to borrow money for this project or any other project. Her husband was NOT a member of the BOS at the time of the USDA loan application"

OK, I am confused on this issue. How did the loan get entered into? An application for a loan is not the agreement to repay, not the actual loan transaction, not the actual borrowing of the money. Who signed the actual document binding the loan?

I have two very important questions here:

      1) Is the town of Templeton on the hook for the USDA loan, by who's signature.

      2) Was there fraud committed in the execution of this? If Carol Skelton willfully withheld actions from the elected BOS, she shouldn't just be fired, she and/or her husband should be in prison.

If the loan was fraudulently obtained, there is no loan obligation from the town. Has anyone actually discussed this with a prosecutor???

As a taxpayer in this town I do not have the authority to ask the state to investigate but I do have the right and expectation to expect the people closer to this to formally request the state investigate.

So either this is all BS or there is conspiracy to defraud and actual fraud. If those allegations are true, a criminal complaint needs to be registered.

    2. You as a taxpayer have every right to ask the Atty Genl for an investigation all taxpayers do - I have written to the AG the sec of State, Brewer, gobi etc etc as I said before we need to all write and ask for an investigation especially with the building at 252 Baldwinville Rd.

  5. Thank you for the explanation and for those of you who want to know what a boondoggle is -
1- wasteful pursuit-an activity or project that is unnecessary and wasteful of time or money, especially one undertaken for personal or political gain
2- a polically motivated goverment project-a government project of little practical value funded to gain political favor

  6. i do understand 1.98 million..but how can they do this with out an override .you cant raise taxes more than 2 1/2 percent with out a overide.

is rent for the selectmen office now enough to pay that usda loan for 40 years

  7. Mike - Jerry Skelton (illegally) applied for a 40 year mortgage from the USDA for the town - the only one athorized to borrow on behalf of the town is the treasurer - at an iterest rate of 5% or less the payment would be a little more then what we are spending for rent and the balance would have to covered some other way - in other words taking it from somewhere else?
On another subject it seems Rich Stevens is asking for all kinds of records from the fire dept - who's job will he take Bud or Tom's - which ever one the recall people can get rid of first!!!!

    1. MR Smith better watch his back . Rumor at the turtle he wants to run both pillipstion and Templeton fire departments . Templeton fire seems to be run good now. but that is why he is trying to dig up dirt on Mr Smith to void his contract. Then Mr Stevens will run this department in the ground like he is doing in phillipstion .it seems like everybody is quiting in phillipstion..im sure if he was in Town here we would have a mass exodus here as well . he is not liked to well in the area fire departments

  8. Look at the information from the website "The Truth is out there Templeton", you will see there was never enough money from the rent/expenses to pay back the USDA loan.

Town services would need to be cut to make up the difference to pay back the USDA loan in order to keep within the tax limit. By the time people realized how badly they had been screwed, the Skeltons would ride off into the sunset and Templeton would be bankrupt!

Allegedly, the entire goal is to make sure the Town goes bankrupt, while former town coordinator gets rehired to boost up her retirement the way Jerry did over at the Light department.

When the Light department took over the operation of the water department, Jerry's salary went from $77,000/year to over $100,000/year...check out the Annual reports.

Allegedly, Jerry Skelton once said: "This Town will pay for they did!" referring to the first Skelton lawsuit against the Town of Templeton. Templeton has been paying ever since....

  9. we have been trying to get all the documents that have to do with the building including but not limited to the loan info the structual engineer's report, purchase and sale agreement etc etc - Julie and I have done public records request Jerry Skelton says that its all in the selectmen' s office Before Julie was recalled she and Bennett had look through the office and found nothing. Julie was trying to get info from the USDA also before she was recalled - now with these new so called selectmen in office we can't get the info - I will be appealing to the Sec of State Public records division. Julie has a citizen petition to get all the records. and yes this what I have been saying sneaky sneaky sneaky that is what the do - They recall 2 selectmen that were trying to put a stop to all this sneaky stuff and bring everything out in the open for the taxpayers to be informed
